8,000 DRUMS on March 21 at noon

HELLO, GREETINGS, SAYGO, ANIIN, TANSI, HAN, HAKODA!!

Darlene Courchene was contacted by my friend Gilles Novaks who is a Montagnais Indian
from Montreal. He is a Medicine Man and a Healer. He asked me to get as many Tribal people to participate in a worldwide ceremony called the "8,000 Drums"

He was contacted by two Huron Clan Grandmothers from up there in Canada and they
asked him to help spread the word to Indians everywhere. It will take place on March 21,
2008 at 12:00 noon.  All you need to do is play a drum either alone, or with a group or
have the whole Tribe participate. The purpose is to fulfill the OTOMI PROPHECY. The
Otomi's are Mayan Olmec and Toltec descendants. The drums will be played so that the
Creator will hear us and grant our wishes as we pray for help in the Healing Process of our
Mother Earth. People are destroying Her and our Mother Earth needs our prayers. Thank
you.

All peoples we are One, please join us with One heartbeat for the Planetary Mother.

time to bring out the djembe!

Thanks for posting the notice of the event. That must be awesome to be there! How about it if we all join in wherever we are at the same time. This would make it 8 p.m. for me and I do have a drum!

I'll give it a go ...lol...I'm not sure what people will make of me beating a drum at 3 or 4am Saturday morning tho, lol...whatever, I'll do it!.......I think that will be the time here I will check....

Thanks for posting this.....

lol.....   I am gathering together people here in gulf shores for this day. we will have a meditation, a drum circle and later a 'free jam' with the acoustics and other instruments. we will have a good meal and everyone is invited to bring their own bowl and cup and help themselves. we will gather together and center our intentions upon healing our sacred mother and then we will drum up some energy to send out. Thank you for posting this. I hope that we all here will participate! My joy goes out to all of us.

In the spirit of unity,

Misty

i havent seen any comments about this.  I was able to drum and pray and.......it felt wonderful.

The drums came to life and even now a few days later...they still ring with a new 'spirit'.

The feeling of connection was palpable for me. Like a breeze that flares the nostrils....

My 'self' is back and i'm coming down.....

But at that moment....was anyone else here drumming??

and aww man,  did you feel that??

Bless our Earth Mother and All that Is

all my love for you all.

with joy.

i feel the sky tumbling down tumbling down.....couldnt help singing those few lines!

i was also drumming. usually i drum with a circle about 30 miles from my home, but

for this day decided to take drums to my meditation group which normally meets on

Sunday's, all were receptive to joining me. i had my husband drop me off that day with

the drums (so he could help tote and carry, thank you). it's been hard to find others in my

immediate neighborhood interested. on his way home, he happened to drive to a spot by the

river and much to his surprise there was a circle of drummers there. i was very glad to hear

it-the drums are such powerful medicine. thank you all those who did join in. the Mother

felt us, each and every one. many blessings to her, and all of us through her.

thank you for the invitation
