I'm still figuring out this portal thing, it's pretty cool! And I've been enjoying reading everyone's profiles - what a great and interesting bunch of folks! One thing I haven't figured out yet is how to ask to be on peoples' friends list...so for those who have asked to be on mine - now you know why I haven't reciprocated.
Penny's post on Orbs reminded me of these photos I took last August while hiking at a nearby nature preserve that has many curious features suggesting that this was once an ancient, ceremonial landscape of some kind. This part of San Diego County has many magnificent standing stones. Some are over thirty feet high, and there are far too many of them to be natural features. I was photographing a large, C-shaped bare spot which is easy to spot from the air but hard to find on the ground. It is about 200' in diameter, and the way it is cut into the hilltop shows that it is manmade. I can't say if it's ancient although I believe it is. The open end of the C is shored up by a wall made of stacked stones that is so old, it's buried in brush and almost indistinguishable from the surrounding ground. Exploring this mysterious area and its meaning is one of my main passions. It seems that no one has ever noticed these ancient monuments.
These photos were taken about 7am and facing west. In other words the sun was at my back and there is no possibility of lens flare. They were taken with an Olympus digital camera. In the two photos I'm attaching here, you can see a ball of mist move upwards from left to right. There is a third photo that simply shows the mist continuing to move and dissipate. I did not see anything when I shot the photos. I've shown these to dozens of people, and the almost universal response is "spirit photos." I'm open to another explanation, if anyone can come up with one.

If you want somebody to be your friend, just go to their profile and on the right there is a line which says "Add to Friend list" or something similar, just click on that.
With regard to the photos, I am an Aura-Soma Colour Practitioner and attended a world conference which was held in South Africa in 2006. I have a very interesting photo of one of our outdoor energy meditations. I know the photo is not doctored, now I must just find out how to attach it and then I can post it on the site. I was told that digital cameras pick up energy emissions which we cannot see. We also had a birthday party for one of the guys where we were dancing around a fire in the boma. Some Japanese girls took photos and apparently there were globes of light dancing over our heads. I have, unfortunately, not seen these photos.

At the bottom of the page where you're typing your blog entry, there is a blue link that says attachments. Click on that and a browse window opens where you can upload from your computer. I learned that the server doesn't resize the images automatically, and that there is a size limit. So it helps to keep the photos on the small side.
And by the way those photos of mine are 100% undoctored as well. I often tweak my digital photos for sharpness or contrast, and sometimes get real wild with them. These are cropped, but otherwise untouched.
