Piercing the Veil

Through choosing to pierce the veil to see beneath all of the pain, suffering, evil, and hatred, and to find that of God in every one, we not only heal the world, we heal ourselves.
Bob07's picture

Agreed, Fred.  The primary work is "inside," where the veil of all veils is, behind which "God" is, in all of us.

Thank you for posting this and for your own inner work.

ChrisBowers's picture

one could even say that all there is is inner work since so called outer expression is illusory and simply indicative of ongoing inner work...  Thank you Fred for reminding me of what Peter Russell attempts to convey in his discussion about Consciousness.  The outer world is simply an idea in the mind that is actually and only having an inner experience.  Also reminds me of the movie Inception, an idea is planted in the mind which alters the belief about what the experience actually is...

Noa's picture

Fred, would you please explain this concept?

Are you saying that all we have to do to stop this insane plot to control the globe is to see the God in everyone?  Do you think visualization alone, without physical action, is enough to change the world?

FEAR populates realities based in FEAR.  LOVE populates realities based in LOVE.

Which side are you on?  FEAR and the Old Earth or LOVE and the New Earth.  It is simply a choice.

The Choice to Love More pierces the veil and opens one to the ever expanding Unity inherent therein the Flower of Life.  Love is boundless and creates unity and expanding Light that is filled with Love.

I bless all with Love.

I have had trouble accepting this in the past, as I have had very hard times in the last several years, which is the easiest way to get drawn away from these basic truths,,,but I tell myself this every day, and it is starting to ring true for me now, ,,on a daily basis , ha ! There is a momentum to it all, and I feel like I might have caught the wave, soooo, I am enjoying the ride more !

A teacher and his student were walking from one village to another, when they suddenly heard a roar behind them. Turning their gaze in the direction of the roar, they saw a big tiger following them. The first thing the student wanted to do was to run away, but as he has been studying and practicing self-discipline, he was able to halt himself, waiting to see what his teacher was going to do.

"What shall we do Master?" Asked the student.

The teacher looked at the student and answered in a calm voice:
"There are several options. We can fill our minds with paralyzing fear so that we cannot move, and let the tiger do with us whatever pleases it. We can faint. We can run away, but then it will run after us. We can fight with it, but physically it is stronger than us."

"We can pray to god to save us. We can choose to influence the tiger with the power of our mind, if our concentration is strong enough. We can send it love. We can also concentrate and meditate on our inner power, and on the fact that we are one with the entire universe, including the tiger, and in this way influence its soul."

"Which option do you choose?"

"You are the Master. You tell me what to do. We don't have much time." The student responded.

The master turned his gaze fearlessly towards the tiger, emptied his mind from all thoughts, and entered a deep state of meditation. In his consciousness, he embraced everything in the universe, including the tiger. In this state the consciousness of the teacher became one with consciousness of the tiger.

Meanwhile the student started to shiver with fear, as the tiger was already quite close, ready to make a leap at them. He was amazed at how his teacher could stay so calm and detached in the face of danger.

Meanwhile the teacher continued to meditate without fear. After a little while, the tiger gradually lowered its head and tail and went away.

The student asked his teacher in astonishment, "What did you do?"

"Nothing. I just cleared all thoughts from my mind and united myself in spirit with the tiger. We became united in peace on the spiritual level. The tiger sensed the inner calmness, peace, and unity and felt no threat or need to express violence, and so walked away."

"When the mind is silent and calm, its peace is automatically transmitted to everything and everyone around, influencing them deeply", concluded the teacher.

Hi Noa,

Where in the quote does it say or imply visualization or inaction?

With much love and joy,
Fred

It was a question, Fred, not an observation.  I'd like an answer if you have one.

Noa's picture

It's a lovely idea and I want to believe it's that simple.  Maybe one must be born under a lucky star for such principles to work.

At the very time when I made the commitment to dedicate my life to helping humanity -- when I was actively blessing people with love -- is  when I attracted the darkest, meanest, people into my life.  Fairy, please explain how my choosing love populated the opposite reality.

Is it just me?  I don't think so.  Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., the Dalai Lama, and Nelson Mandela chose love instead of fear and look what happened to them!

This man was arrested (Occupy Oakland) while in a loving, peaceful state of meditation.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IckE3xJ3I_U   Looks like jail is more than an "idea in the mind," especially when his inner consciousness was focused on the opposite of what manifested.

Although, I believe in the power of collective consciousness, I think you're deluding yourself if you think that all you have to do is to choose love and everything in the world will turn out fine.  Fairy, you once described the coming spiritual shift as being as easy as walking into another room.  If you think the world is suddenly going to become enlightened because you choose love, I think you're in for a real shock.  The controllers are not going to give up their strangle hold on the planet without a fight, and I don't know what it's going to take to wake up the vast majority of people who are still in denial even as their last few freedoms are being taken away before their eyes.

And Chris, you keep saying that physical reality is an illusion.  Would you say that if you were hungry and dying of starvation?  How illusory would your life feel if you were in constant, excruciating pain?

We live in a physical world.  God gave us tools like the breath and mind to experience the spiritual world, but we were also given 5 senses and a brain to experience physical reality.  It's just as harmful to be too much in your right-brain as it is to be too left-brained.  Let's not forget about balance.

Take care that you don't use spiritual principles to deny physical reality.  An epic battle is being fought on every continent of the globe right now.  Are you physically prepared if the earth doesn't transform into love and light as quickly as you may think?

Shine your light into the darkness, yes, but don't allow the evil that is bullying the world to exist in the darkness of your IGNORance.  People denying their fear, denying the truth because it is too fearful, is the very thing that allowed the dark ones to become so powerful in the first place!

There's a difference between choosing love and refusing to face fear.  Maybe piercing the veil of denial would be a good place to start to heal the world.

An old Grandfather said to his grandson, who came to him with anger at a friend who had done him an injustice, "Let me tell you a story.

I too, at times, have felt a great hate for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do.

But hate wears you down, and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times." He continued, "It is as if there are two wolves inside me. One is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him, and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way.

But the other wolf, ah! He is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is helpless anger, for his anger will change nothing.

Sometimes, it is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit."

The boy looked intently into his Grandfather's eyes and asked, "Which one wins, Grandfather?"

The Grandfather smiled and quietly said, "The one I feed."

I bless all with Love.  Peace On.  --Fairy

You are raising some very good and important questions here, Noa. I very much agree that treating everything as an illusion is not going to change the way the power elite are operating, nor is just focusing on love. I believe that if we ignore the violence and suffering in the world, it is only likely to get worse.

I'm sorry to hear that when you committed to helping humanity the darkest and meanest people ended up in your life. That must have been a big let down and quite frustrating. Do you have any ideas why that might have happened?

In my own experience along these lines, I have committed myself 100% to living in service to all beings now for many years, and over the long term, my life continues to get richer, deeper, and more fulfilling all the time in the most wonderful ways. I get my share of challenges, but thankfully they are not overwhelming and it is very clear that these challenges always help me to grow.

For me, it's not just about sending out love and seeing love and beauty everywhere. I also am a continual invitation to people around me to open to seeing and understanding both the light and the darkness. I find it is vitally important to accept and acknowledge both of these and to find balance and integration between them. And darkness is not always bad. Nor is light always good. Fear can actually be a powerful invitation to growth, when we choose to let it be. And suffering can sometimes help people to find the will to change their life situation.

When I see violence about to happen, I will do everything I can to stop it. Yet even as I'm stopping someone from a violent act (as I did many times as a psych nurse), I do my very best to see beyond their behavior to the divinity within. This has sometimes had quite magical results. So for me choosing to see beyond the pain and anger to the divinity in each person has nothing to do with action or inaction, it is a state of mind, or better, a state of heart that informs my actions all the time and for me allows rich healing to occur on many levels.

You may remember the "Simple Keys" from the course. Here's what it had to say about this:

"Stopping harm. What if someone does something that is clearly wrong or causes harm? In this case, be firm and take whatever action you feel is best to stop harm. Enforcing a serious consequence with someone who has acted out of extreme self-interest may be the most loving, empowering action you can take. Yet even as you take action, open to seeing the inner turmoil that causes people to do harm. You can act from a place of love and support, even while firmly stopping someone from doing wrong or causing harm. Through choosing to see beneath all of the pain, suffering, and hatred, and to recognize and connect with the divine essence within even those who would do us harm, not only do we heal the world, we heal ourselves."

And each of us are unique. This works very well in my life. If it doesn't work for you, Noa, I very much support you in finding the way that works best for you in all of this. Each of us has to make our own choices on all these things. I wish you all the best in your explorations on this. Take care, and enjoy the day.

With lots of love and support,
Fred

Thank you for those wise words, Fred.  They bring me much comfort.

I'm sorry that my passion got the best of me in my last post.  I appreciate that everyone is offering their truth with love and I apologize if my words offended anyone.

I sometimes get frustrated with these broad-brushed simplistic answers people offer here, as if there's a one-size-fits-all solution for everyone.  Although I'd love for these beliefs to work wonders in my life, it seems like a different set of laws govern my journey here.

My life story is frought with unusual challenges, and people have often asked me why this is so.  The implication is that it's something I'm doing.  So, for twenty-five years, I belonged to a New Thought church.  I diligently practiced the Law of Attraction, did positive affirmations and visualizations, believing that I was attracting better things into my life.  I embraced the concept that people mirror back to me that which I put out.  So after twenty-five years of  being that which I wish to manifest in the world, I am sorry to say, that what has come back has been more struggle, more strife, and incredibly bad luck.

Why do I think that is?  I don't know.  It goes against everything I once believed in.  Has it made me bitter?  Has it made me stop loving the world and all the people in it?  No.  Maybe that's part of the lesson I came here to learn or maybe I carry incredibly bad karma from a previous lifetime.  I don't know why sh*t happens.  None of it makes much sense.

I am absolutely sure that nothing I have ever done in this lifetime explains what I have received in return.  I have always lived by the Golden Rule, because that is who I am.   I continue to love and bless those who do me harm, whether it changes anything or not.  For me, it's not a choice, it's just the right thing to do.  Living with integrity is where it's at for me.  Maybe that's another test, another challenge, who knows?

Expressing my truth is also deeply rooted in my soul, so again, please excuse my bluntness; I don't wish to harm anyone with  my words.

No matter what happens, I know that everyone is love at the core of their being.  Whether that changes anything remains to be seen.

Viveka, it's a lovely story, but is it true?

If the Master's love stopped the hungry tiger from eating him, why didn't the student's fear cause him to eaten?

It reminds me of Tim Treadwell, the Grizzly Man.  This is a true story.  He loved the bears so much that he eventually won their trust and was able to live amongst them in their cave.  One day, he was attacked and killed by one of them.  http://www.yellowstone-bearman.com/Tim_Treadwell.html

My point is that although these are nice-sounding ideas you all have, I hope that you don't put all your eggs in the basket of "love conquers all."   Sometimes it doesn't work out that way.

Dear Noa the answer IS simple, The Process however IS as difficult and challenging as it is wonderous and awesome.  You are absolutely right S..t happens as indeed it must, and there are times when we just have to sit in or wollow in our own S..t until the light of our own understanding reveals itself and the S..t turns into a rich compost that feeds the next stage of our evolutionary journey into spiritual understang....

As to the dichotomy of not loving the world and all the people in in it, and on the other hand blessing and loving those that do you harm......   Do you see the walls you are bouncing off.....When the jeweler shines his powerful light into the rough and uncut diamond all the flaws are revealed to him, he then must needs go through the challenging process of cutting through the roughness/darkness if he wishes to reveal the hidden radiance that is held within....

Like you I used to send light/love into that which surrounded me and at the time could not understand why the return energy always seemed to be in the form of an attack, only to eventually realize that, that light was  blinding to some and that, that Love was painful for others.... (Like flowers in a garden if they are given too much water, too much sun they wither).......with this understanding I was forced to look inwards. (Boy did I have to stand in my own S..t and do some cutting and polishing/pruning.)

No wish to bore you with my process nor preach but through allowing others to be who they were and accepting myself, worts and all...(acceptance I found comes before forgiveness, forgiveness comes before full healing) Peace the light of the of Heart began to reveal itself.

Dear Noa, there is no need to appologize for speaking or seeking your truth for those that understand no offence is ever taken, for those that don't that is their lesson of the day, as for simplicity, like a child, The Heart can recognize the simple truth of a parrable/story far easier than the scientific mind can accept it.

Peace Peace Peace

I bless all with Love.

The HEART can only Emote.  It is something that is understood not by the Brain or Mind but by the Intelligence of the HEART as a State of Being.

I bless you with Love.  A Blessing is filtered always through the Energy Fields to be stepped up or stepped down in accordance with what is **just right** for the reciever... much in the way the Earth and Sun bless all life with just enough of what is needed for Life to Flourish.

Practice RRRC.  It is the most elegant operating system in the whole known universe.  The Earth-Gaia uses this system with such Elegant Simplicity and Beauty.  When Humankind adhers to the RRRC principles life is suddenly made easier.  Many Hands make Light Work.

Recycle.  Reuse.  Reduce. Compost.  RRRC

Beautifully said, Viveka...

Light is blinding to some and love is painful to others.  It makes perfect sense.   I'm not sure what my lesson is because I was practicing loving the world, quietly; I wasn't spouting spiritual concepts or trying to convert anyone to my belief system when I was met with extraordinary malice.  Maybe my energy has greater influence than I realize.  I'm not going to stop loving, so I guess I'll have to learn to live with the consequences.

Thanks for not insisting that what we put out always comes back in like measure.  Too many people have blamed me for not adequately manifesting positive results.

Acceptance comes before forgiveness; forgiveness comes before healing.  Simply beautiful.  This is one that I shall spend more time contemplating and practicing.

I have a suggestion for what may have been occuring durring that time in your life. Perhaps you can try this on and see if it seems to fit. If not, please, disregard it. This idea involves a model of what is happening at this time on our planet; so, here goes.

Many of us incarnated at this time within the human species of consciousness in order to assist in a major transition from polarized duality and separation through an awakening into our common unity with on another and with all-that-is. In order to do this we had to go through the awakening process so that we could assist others with their process. And so, we all fell asleep and believed ourselves to be disconnected and separate; but, we have been compelled by some sense that life could or should be different than we found it to be here. Throughout the duration of our life or lives here, we have inadvertently made many mistakes and created some negative karma.

As we begin to awaken, we use whatever we discover to move forward toward this, for a long time un-named, goal. Little by little we move beyond what was useful for what seems to be more useful and, little by little, we clarify the sense of our larger purpose and our mutuality with others on their path; we begin to recognize our brothers and sisters in this great work. Because the universal timing is such that we are now living on the cusp of ages, our process must move quickly - and it is moving as fast as we can tolerate (even though it may often seem it is going too fast.)

What this means, experientially, is that we become committed to focussing our minds positively at the same time we are processing through our negative karma quite rapidly and so, despite our endeavors to attract what we desire, our old, sub- and unconscious beliefs are manifesting in our lives; much to our frustration and confusion. The challenge is to soften and open in relation to what ever appears in our life and allow it to be as it is (It certainly, already is as it is.). As Krishna said to Arjuna, we can and must act, to the best of our capacity, with impecability. But we cannot control the outcome of our actions; there are too many contributing factors that are both beyond our control and beyond our knowledge.

Sondra Ray said to me many years ago when I was complaining about how, despite my best efforts, life was returning shit to me, "Love brings up everything unlike itself to be healed." I could not have become an old soul, like I am, without having done lots of terrible things to lots of people in order to learn the lessons of that. And so, gradually, I have come to see the shit - whether it is my car or home getting broken into, parking tickets, whatever - as payback, as just a little more of my old karma being cleared so that I can be a little clearer, kinder, perhaps a little wiser and a bit more helpful.

So, what do you think, Noa?

Noa's picture

Thank you so much for that, John.  It's something I think I've known intuitively for some time, but I've been unable to find any validation for it, until now.  I am deeply grateful.

Sondra Ray's words of wisdom are like icing on the cake.

I am copying your post into a document for future reference, in case I need to remind myself why this sh*t happens.

Bless you more, girl! My wish for you is that if it ever appears difficult or sh*tty, the fact of it appearing that way stimulates your mind to re-cognize that moment and say, "Ahh, finally clearing that bit of karma! I am so lucky to be getting through so much of this sh*t, so quickly! Am I blessed, or what?!!"
