You would certainly love melbourne and australia then......after a 30 year drout we are back to the weather I remember as a kid.....has been raining for 5 days!....lol

I love the rain to and can see the healing and revitalizing nature of this period for australia, half the east coast is a flood plain....this is a natural cycle and it's a very healing time for all....animals, plants, all of us!

At least, that's how the mayans see it ! They would actually 'call" the rain for this purpose...Some friends and I experimented with this during a pretty bad drought in Taos ,   back about 15 years ago...We got together one night and told stories about rain, drummed about it,,stuff like that,,,and, though there was no change in the forecast,,,,man did it rain ! we had several days,,and not only did it lift our spirits,,,but it gave us all a little look at how powerful we are together...good medicine !!!...T

I adore the clouds and rain now simply because a friend told me how she loved the rain. I had fallen into the habit of seeing rain as an inconvenience and danger but now it's a blessing!

I admit it can be an inconvenience but now I see it as a fun challenge when a storm is approaching or when it's already here, to guess the right moments to run to the car or into the house. I swear there's an interaction with a god of thunder or something and he loves a good joke as much as I do. He seems like a good-natured teenager full of bluster and confidence that whatever he does to the Earth will be just fine.

I saw this article on an intentional rain experiment

and I cherish the true story of how the Brazilian government, as a last resort, flew in some shamans from different areas to make it rain during a desperate drought. The rain forests were engulfed in out of control fires. These shamans performed mysterious rituals or ceremonies using plants from their own areas and immediately afterward, it poured non-stop for days over a vast region. Put out every wildfire.

Something about this touches me so, so deeply-I guess it's because it proves there is magic in the world-just as I always hoped. When I was like five I KNEW these things were facts but we're taught to disregard such ideas-hah!
 Tscout-you're awesome!!!

The reason the atmosphere feels so good after a rain is it's charged with negative ions -- the same way that waterfalls are.

Here in south Florida we've had tons of rain for over a week.  We spent the Summer Solstice enjoying liquid sunshine!  It was wonderful.  I felt like the clouds were crystals, concentrating the sunshine into droplets to saturate everything.

And boy are we saturated...  Sending love to Storm Debby and asking her to bring the rain and wind where it's needed, but to keep it to safe levels as wisdom guides her!
