My dear Friends,
I refer here to the Speech, one that I consider to be by far one of the greatest I have ever heard, given this last week by Barack Obama. I hope you heard it, I hope you watched it. It was something that you might not see again in your lifetime. To me, that is how special this occasion was.
I would like you to read the article that TruthOut wrote about this occasion, but I realize it is too long to copy on this Forum. What I hope you will do is go to < http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/032508F.shtml > and read the entire text

My hope is that when you read those comments, written as a TruthOut editorial, you will see and understand that this speech was what I believe will be called the turning point in this whole election process. If you have not seen this speech when it was given, you can find it on a number of web sites, CNN and the like. Please let me know it you can't find it and I will look up the sources for you. It is that important.
Meanwhile, please read this article, I hope it will put things in the proper perspective about what is taking place in our time. Barack Obama is giving us a new direction, yet he also challenges us to put ourselves in to the action of the change it will take to make this happen. In that sense, no one can do for another person that they must be willing to do for themselves. Yes, this is but a start. It is like the first step of the long road ahead to the realization of the "
