March 25th marked the 100th anniverary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire which killed 146 sweatshop workers. Just three months ago, an eerily similar fire broke out in a Bangladesh factory. What have we done to improve workplace conditions since 1911? What implications do policies that grant power to corporations over the rights of workers have on the rest of us?
