Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts about the coup in Honduras, and how the United States might have played a role. I read that a good number of the military involved were trained in the United States, and was curious if there were deeper links.
Just trying to stay awake, and couldn't think of a better place to find the real information.
Peace,
Kathy
Don't know if that is still the name of the training facility that has been used for this kind of thing for a very long time now, but googling that name (School of the Americas) may bring some answers to your posted question. There are also new kids in town like Blackwater that call themselves private security contractors (mercenaries).

So, Chris, do you think it's just a case of 6 degrees of separation, or do you think the US is directly behind the activity there? I read today that Fidel Castro said that if the Honduran president is not allowed to return, that there will be a whole host of other countries that will follow suite. You can write that off, or think about why he'd come out and publicly state that. Embarrassingly, I don't know enough about that part of the world to understand the ins and outs of politics there, but it has long been fertile ground for US imperialism (or corporatism).
I'd really love for the answer to be that it's just a coincidence that those soldiers were trained there, and that the US was not behind the coup. I just know that when I really started to read and understand what was really going on, I made a promise to myself not to be fooled again...
Oh, and before I close this note... thank you so much for all these helpful links! You rock! : )
Much love and light,
Kathy
Greetings,
The US has a history of destabilizing democracies going back 55 years....both parties are complicit....
the govt within the govt ...so to speak.....
It shows that the real PTB only care about controls...not about elections, or what the people want...
Sad, sadder still that they do these thiings in OUR name.....and, generally, we the people, have little or no knowledge of what our govt is doing.....but we're right there to cheer them on, no matter who suffers the consequences....
Blessings
Lefty
What isn't the US involved with?
And even that question does not really tell the whole story because there are certain secretive factions unknown to even our visible form of government that is little more than a puppet show for a relatively unaware nation very caught up in this v. that and manufactured dissent (see Michel Chossudovsky for great lesson on manufactured dissent). And the CIA is hardly a USA-only functioning body. The CIA has had an ongoing relationship with Russian and British intelligence for so long now that one would be amiss to call the CIA a body dedicated to protecting the United States of America. One thing that can help us to see more clearly is to understand that the political dog and pony show they prop up for us in the media is little more than distraction to keep people busy looking at the guy on CNN and Fox News saying, "Look at the Monkey!" "Look at the Monkey!".... What is really going on could be much better understood by reading the declared "mythology" of the WingMakers material and the Ancient Arrow story. I personally believe that this story is a way, under the cover of "myth", to help the reader understand a little better, to get a faint glimpse of some of the stuff going on without the world public's consent or knowledge. If one wanted to read a book that is not categorised under "myth", one could read Michael C. Ruppert's "Crossing the Rubicon", about 2 inches thick detailing the what and how the CIA does what it does, and how it funds itself. If anyone wants a PDF copy of the WingMakers Ancient Arrow story that makes the Neruda interviews come alive, you can email me at [email protected] and I will attach a copy of the WMAA story to a return email...
For more on understanding the history of Central America I cannot recommend the work of John Perkins highly enough. He is an insider that became disillusioned with his involvement with the CIA in what he thought were altruistic efforts to bring Central America into the 21st century, but found that all to be cover for manipulation of resources. I doubt that much has changed in modus operandi, so reading John Perkin's book, "Secret History of the American Empire" is like taking a college course in the history of CIA involvement with efforts to secure resources for what John Perkins refers to as the "Corporatocracy". Cannot recommend that book emphatically enough for learning from someone who was actually involved with the deal-making process that still goes on to this day, as well as the CIA-staged coups and assassinations of uncooperative leaders if the presented economic deals are not accepted by current leaders.... war is always the last resort, as we saw in Iraq. the whole typical M.O. was utilized in Iraq prior to sending bombs and troops, including assassination attempts on Saddam H., but he had a system of "doubles" that made it virtually impossible to take him out, so they lit up Baghdad in March of 2003...
