I just visited the wikileaks site and it is gone. Instead, there is a screen saying, "Sorry! This site is not currently available."
Then I found this site http://wikileaks.info/ that lists the wikileaks mirror sites with this note: "Helpful, if the main site - wikileaks.org - is down." Wikileaks.ch, in Switzerland, is doing fine. I didn't check the others.
The main wikileaks site is not coming up on my google search, either.
Does this happen alot?

Oops, my bad. http://www.wikileaks.ch/ is their New Official Wikileaks Page. I guess I haven't visited their site in a while.

I don't know much about Wikileaks - except that obviously there are many trying to stop them! I heard though that the next big "leak" was regarding Bank of America - and was a BIG one - probably having to do with the current melt down in mortgages etc.
I am guessing they will be moving the site around as this one comes out. I can't wait to hear what it is - but will most likely just be a confirmation of what we already know.
I understand the US military (among others)is running cyber attacks against them. Don't you just love it? I read that there are both "hackers" or skilled technicians who work inside Wikieaks and also some external supporting hackers. People who are adept at end-running or mitigating the attacks, but that it's a constant battle and requires them to change things fequently to keep running...
