The Gathering Spot is a PEERS empowerment website
"Dedicated to the greatest good of all who share our beautiful world"
Wow - never even thought about the search engines doing that! Frightening really...
One thing you can do to help prevent being a "statistic" is to go to ghostery.com and download their free stat-gathering blocker. When I visited the Moveon.org page, these are the programs that ghostery blocked:
AddThis
Facebook Social Plugins
Google Analytics
KissMetrics
Optimizely
Quantcast
This 'filter bubble' might explain why I often find google results that my friends don't. It could also be the reason why some "unawakened" people aren't getting it... limited access to the information.
I'm wondering if I should switch search engines. Does anyone have a favorite besides Google?
Bingo - Google is the problem - they are undoubtedly filtering other search engines! James McCanney always lists a few others on his radio shows - but I am never in a position to write them down as I am usually walking or riding as I am listening - but there are others out there for sure. Of course - they could be doing the same thing, but maybe not.
I put Ghostery on both of my computers - it is amazing who is looking at what page you're on!
When I think about it, I use www.startpage.com . It claims not to track your searches and has a broad archive of info.
That ghostery.com sounds worthwhile visiting though Noa. Thanks.
Thanks, Berry, I'm switching my homepage today!
