Mass Media Mind Control...A good thing?

As a person who enjoys extended periods of not being plugged in to the TV, I have started to see a pattern. As much as we have been conditioned to believe that we are being conditioned by TV, I have recently noted a rapidly increasing number of positive or light messages trough TV. Maybe the dark ones first realized the power, but now the light side is also using it so that we have a choice. Just an observation which I think could be indicating the rise of the light and that, if you are aware, positive messages and truth can come from some previously maligned sources.

It's an intriguiging topic, Kevin, but could you give us a little more meat?

This has actually always been the case - particularly in the movies. There are always good messages in the media - the problem is that they are often mixed with propaganda or designed to mislead. Perhaps what Kevin is alluding to is a little less of those things being present.

As always - discernment is the key there. We have seen some great truths coming out of the movies recently - so that has been great to see. Unfortunately - it seems that most people just don't seem to recognize it at the time (the Matrix comes to mind - and that one was as obvious as it could be, yet so many people didn't seem to get it...)

It's hard to explain completely but let me give you a couple of examples. There is a show on a big 3 network called Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution which seems to be completely of the light. He is trying to get kids educated about nutrition and trying to change the system in schools to provide the kids with real food. If you see the guy and his dedication to his mission you would understand. Seeing this come from a Big 3 network is what really caught my eye. I have seen historical shows which are actually starting to reveal truth about the U.S. Government from 30 or 40 years ago. Not long ago, you could only find information like this on the web after a lot of searching.

My theory is that future us or allies of ETs or whatever you want to call them, are now employing tthe same tactics that the dark ones have used for years in order to affect a faster awakening. It's what I would do if I was from the future and was trying to nudge us onto a different timeline.

Or in more practical terms, the TV producers have noticed the huge following that Alex Jones, Coast to Coast and other internet providers have and at the same time have seen the death of the major newspapers. I think they just figured they better start to cover some real truth before they loose everyone.

I have to say, I was impressed that they actually put Jesse Ventura's Conpiracy Theory on TV.

I gave up TV, mostly because of the commercials. Not even really the amount of them but just the shear obnoxiousness of them. I saw too many commercials for cereal or pop-tarts where the children or families would be fighting over food. Or commercials where one family member would be laughing at another's loss. The lack of respect for elders or others and the subtle messages that using or taking advantage of someone else is ok, especially when the message was being directed toward children. I just refuse to have my mind polluted with that stuff. I'm glad to hear they are still putting something on that is worth while.

That's an insightful critique of commercials, Wendy

I have also had an insight on commercials and many shows. Your future depends on every decision you make moment by moment. With commercials and media in general, our minds are forced to make decisions almost constantly. No wonder we were distracted enough to have allowed TPTB to gain control of us.

This is the Jaime Oliver Food Revolution you're talking about.  He has actually shown that you can serve fruits and vegetables for less money than the starchy crap they serve for school lunch now.

For day to day decisions Kev, what you say rings true

'Your future depends on every decision you make moment by moment. With commercials and media in general, our minds are forced to make decisions almost constantly.'

From personal experience, when the decisions are bigger ones (not what are we having for dinner or what show are we watching!) I have found in my life that when I feel 'forced or coerced' into making an immediate decision it's usually best to recognize that I really DON'T have to make ANY decision in that instant. I've learned to diligently listen to my intuition (call it  'gut' or inner voice or whatever your 'latent guidance system is') and if no choice feels right in the moment, be peace and wait for the answer. You'll know. I have rarely been sorry that I waited, something better than I imagined usually comes through the grace of 'Creation'.                    May blessings abound.   kristyne

What I was really trying to convey is that we are constantly being distracted when we watch TV. When the attention is being pulled in so many directions at once, we can't focus on what is important. When you are aware of this fact, you can combat it somewhat but the real problem is that so few people are aware. Awareness and knowledge are protection.
