There are several similar videos out there regarding dealing with the police - and this one is excellent. You might have seen the one put out by the ALCU regarding a traffic stop and how to handle that - perfect for kids. It ALWAYS boils down to one concept - NON COOPERATION. Their whole system depnds on it - and we are trained from childhood to give it.
NO MORE - wake up! That's the beauty of this video - they are basically giving you a legal framework for why cooperation is just NOT in your best interest. STOP GIVING IT - and feel good about it - it is NOT legally required, and all of the courts recognize your "right" not to cooperate.

After over 30 years of driving, I got my first speeding ticket... and I wasn't even speeding! I decided to fight it in court. I took photos, made diagrams, got a copy of my clean driving record, and researched how to argue my own defense. I thought I had an excellent case.
When I went to court, the only police officer there was the one that pulled me over. He had also pulled over nearly all of the defendants in the courtroom. He confidently smacked his chewing gum and chatted with the clerks behind the bench before the judge arrived. Most of the defendants were represented by lawyers, charging over $100 a pop to say a few sentences to the judge and get the charges reduced to driving school or a lesser fine. Just before my case was called, the District Attorney asked me if I wanted to reduce my fine by pleading guilty. I told her that I was innocent and had a good case as I showed her my defense. Big mistake!
The police officer claimed he couldn't remember anything about the night he pulled me over, so I couldn't get him to admit to any wrong-doing. The D.A. interregated me based on my own photos and weakly made the case that I must've been speeding on a different section of road. The judge believed the cop and the D.A., because it was obviously a racket to begin with. Defending myself wound up costing me more than if I'd paid the original ticket to begin with!
