Below is an excerpt from:
http://nanoholdings.com/about-us/ (link is external)

Nanoholdings is a team of scientists, investors and innovators working at the cutting-edge of nanotechnology to develop solutions to the world’s growing energy problems. Working in partnership with the world’s best universities we develop products and companies that will revolutionize the way we use and generate energy.

Two things stand out about us — we focus exclusively on nanotechnology-based energy solutions and we work at the very cutting-edge of nano-energy research.

Our extensive network of leading scientists in the nanotechnology field are central to our work – scientists based at eminent universities around the world, who are working at the coal-face of nano-energy research to seek out alternative solutions for how we generate, transmit, store and use energy. We support and guide their research,

Free energy holds great promise for humankind. The sooner we switch from fossil fuels to free energy, the better life will be on this planet.

Technology isn't my forte, so I could be wrong, but I think it's possible to make free energy devices without the use of nanotechnology.  I certainly hope so, because the safety of using such tiny particles is not yet fully understood.

This article expresses some of these concerns...

http://www.wedincommunications.com/Chemistry%20Nanotech%20Spring06.pdf (link is external)

"Nanotechnology carries a laundry list of potential risks.  One recent review article in the February 3, 2006, edition of Science cited a dozen potential toxic effects of nanomaterials.  They include the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), protein denaturation, mitochondrial perturbation, and uptake by nerve tissue."

Whatever that means, it doesn't sound good to me.

Thanks John,

That was the best video I've seen yet about the recent event in Italy.

I do so want to get in on this industry. I hope someone starts selling the e-cat in America soon.

Thanks for posting---  I got stuck following the 1st link you provided.

I seriously need the eBox to store energy at home, but it's not on the market yet.   Not even manufactured, the inspired British sounding guy is called Justin Hall-Tipping, he's a venture capitalist trying to get funding to develop  these brilliant ideas.  I hope it all comes to fruition soon, we need it.

The Italian cold fusion work is fantastic, and seems completely genuine.  I've been following that on and off for a while.  The latest test of 1Megawatt reactor only produced half that amount.  which is still loads, of hot water, which then has to be converted to electricity..  It appears to be made in Greece and called Hyperion, by Defkalion. http://www.defkalion-energy.com/products  (link is external) .  I can find no recent news of its manufacture in the US unfortunately.  Although Rossi (the inventor) has started a company onthe US called Leonardo Corporation.

He is currently in the Boston area, talking with local politicians (Bruce Tarr) and MIT people about bringing a unit to Boston.

Massachusetts Senator Bruce Tarr First Politician to Publicly Propose E-Cat as Energy Solution

November 23, 2011

I have wondered when the E-Cat would enter into the political arena, and who the first politician would be to come out and endorse E-Cat technology as an energy solution — well now I know, and it’s someone I had never heard of before. Republican Senator Bruce Tarr is the Senate Minority Leader in the Massachusetts legislature and appears interested in promoting the development and commercialization of Andrea Rossi’s invention. As a local politician he is naturally seeking to find ways to bring benefits to his state through this technology.

Senator Tarr writes on his Tarr Talk (link is external) blog:

“Mr. Rossi’s reactor, if successfully proven and developed, has the potential to change the way the world deals with energy, and I’m pleased that he’s willing to discuss basing its production in Massachusetts. Rossi began his schedule in the state this morning and it will conclude later in the evening.

Rossi’s E-Cat reactor, which has thus far been developed and tested in the Italian city of Bologna, is intended to produce large amounts of energy from a reaction between nickel and hydrogen. The reaction produces heat which then heats water to produce steam, from which electricity can be generated. Importantly, the process creates little to no radiation, a major problem for the nuclear fission process currently used to produce power in reactors around the world.

The enormous potential of this technology demands that it be addressed by the best scientific minds in the world. Since Massachusetts is the home of some of the best colleges and universities in the world, it makes sense for that process to happen here.”

Tarr, like many other people who learn about the E-Cat, seems to be recognizing that E-Cat technology could provide real solutions to energy problems, and is wanting to find ways to help this technology come to light. He doesn’t seem to be concerned about the safety aspects of this nuclear reactor if “little to no” radiation is emitted by this technology.

It should be remembered that Tarr is the Minority Leader of a very small minority in the Massachusetts Senate (only four of 39 senators are Republicans), and so may not carry a huge amount of influence when it comes to setting government policy. It will be interesting to learn how his colleagues in the state government respond to proposals he brings forward regarding this technology — the speed of the proliferation of E-Cat devices could depend in large measure on how it is perceived by elected officials.

A Week of E-Cat News Flurry

It's amazing how much E-Cat cold fusion news is accumulated in just one week, with no less than twelve news sites dedicated to covering it, thus creating these ~37 stories, including news on customers, products, competitor progress, pending scientific validations, and history. Plus compilation showing 1st customer = US Military.

Pure Energy Systems News

There has been a lot of miscellaneous news items over the past few days. Rather than build news bullets for any one of them, I have decided to just post them here on one page, to streamline the effort on my end, and to illustrate the dynamics of this very exciting field. This is in addition to what we've posted in our news as archived at News:Rossi_Cold_Fusion (link is external).

It reminds me of when I'm making hot cereal in the morning. The water is boiling, and if you add too much cereal at first, it boils over. Even when you drop in a few flakes, the water boils wildly, as the flakes add surface area for the formation of bubbles. That's what the excitement about the E-Cat makes me think of.

So, without further ado, here are some of the recent news items posted from around the web. I might have to make this compilation a weekly practice, to the extent I can.

Following this compilation is a list of hints about who the first customer is.

  • Customers
    • New eCat Customer To Be Public (link is external) - Rossi writes: "Today we sold in the USA a 1 MW plant which will go to a normal Customer. This installation will be visitable by the qualified public. We wait to have completed the contractual procedure through the attorneys, then we will give communication. It will be in the North East of the USA, where I have been in these days." (ECatNews; Nov. 29)
    • Rossi's e-Cat Goes Commercial (link is external) - Andrea Rossi may have his doubters, detractors and skeptics, but the client for whom he demonstrated his 1MW e-Cat energy system apparently isn't one of them. Not only did the mysterious client take delivery of Rossi's first 1MW heat energy production system, but ordered a dozen more for use in cold, remote locations. (EV World; November 23, 2011)
    • Andrea Rossi E-Cat Marketing Campaign (link is external) - Last week Andrea Rossi started an online campaign for those interested to buy 10kW E-Cat to sign up in www.ecat.com (link is external). The goal was to generate at least 10,000 individuals and entities. The 10kW Andrea Rossi E-Cat is designed for household use. This sig-up campaign is a good tool to gauge the mass’ interest on the device. Andrea Rossi recently posted in his blog saying that the number of people who signed up is getting closer to the target. (AndreaRossiECat; Nov. 28)
    • Collection of Hints that 1st Customer is U.S. Military - see (below (link is external))
    • Building E-Cat based thermal electricity plants (link is external) - Following best practice in the CSP (Concentrating Solar Power) industry, where every watt is important and the heat is lower than what can be generated in a conventional thermal plant's boiler, we will be building a 1 MW E-Cat plant based on this system. We (link is external) are working with Rossi to make this happen and hope to sign a contract soon. (VortexL forum; Nov. 28)

to register my interest in the home unit because the form wouldn't send - I kept getting a dialogue box that said "alphabetic characters only." Do you have any way I could use to contact them about this?

Wendy's picture

Hi Jon,

I'm surprised, the form worked fine for me, perhaps you just need to give it another try?

Here's the e-mail address:

info@leonardocorp1996.com (link sends e-mail)

He would like to get 10,000 signitures - I hope everyone signs up. It's non-binding, you're just basically saying that you're interested.

Sorry, this is such a hit piece. How can they be questioning whether it works or not when someone has just paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for the 1 Megawatt device and has ordered 12 more?
