Yea I agree Noa! I also think that's why we see so much of it now. They are trying to get the message to us to stop all this fighting amongst ourselves! Stop with the us vs them attitudes! We have to realize at some point we are all in this together and are all part of ONE race, the human race!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful story. I've learned a lot from my pets and from my brief encounters with wild animals.
I believe that humans, with our higher knowledge and capacity for compassion and self-reflection, are meant to be the guardians of all life on Earth. Rescues like this should be the norm.
There was a point, a few years ago, when people were emailing me things like this every week. Some were stories of inspiring acts between people and animals. The ones I enjoy the best, tho, are the ones where animals of different species get along -- like the recent post on this forum about the owl and the cat who were friends.
You will find countless examples of such things on Youtube -- the polar bear who follicked with the dog sled team, the crow who fostered a kitten... I believe they are showing us something. They are demonstrating unconditional love.
If animals from different species can get along, why the heck can't people coexist?
