I just have some questions. Any ideas are welcome for one or all. Some are progressive, so it might make sense to read them all in a row.
1) How can a person use the law of attraction and subjective reality to change their Universe?
2) What about the bad things going on in the world? (You can't unforget world hunger)
3) Is there a limit and why can't anyone pass it?
4) I mean, why can't people fly yet?
5) Why couldn't Buddha or Jesus fly?
6) Is that the limit?
7) Will one person break the limit, then everyone? (Like the 4 minute mile)
8) Who's it going to be and when?
9) What can a person do to be ready for December 21, 2012?
10) What can a person do to be ready for December 22, 2012 if nothing happens?
I don't have a clue Nick ! there is just too much information out there...And when I have gone inside to look for answers,,and thought I was on to something,,it hasn't turned out that way yet either ! As far as changing our world from the inside out,,i think that the key right now may be to just keep plugging away at it,,,until we get it right. Nick, I'm sorry your first post as a new member here was met with such opposition... but that's Jez for you. Please don't take it personally.
Jez, I don't care what you believe, but you continually bash the New Age Movement without knowing the facts. The Wikipedia page you once quoted here on the subject was completely false. Although I don't agree 100% with all of their teachings, most of them are nearly identical to the teachings you yourself have posted here about mediation, metaphysics, and the like.
So please Jez, get your facts straight and stop throwing the baby out with the bathwater. It's not black or white -- all or nothing. Much good has come from the New Age Movement. But as with all things in life, some things may not fit your personal belief system... and that's okay.
We can disagree without trashing another person's beliefs. Please, let's all voice our opinions with care, especially with our new members.
Tricky subject, beliefs. I know you (Jez) well enough to know that you are not trashing or opposing anything - but rather are sharing your perspective you have come to to this point in time and space. I also know that your Heart's desire would be to assist in the liberation of minds - and some of that liberation (if not all) would be the liberation from adopted beliefs and romantic notions.
I know all too well that our 5 senses tell us so very very little about who, what and where we actually are, and the limitless potential that is most likely there, on the ready, to be utilized by understanding and comprehension that expands, most likely, from the surrender of limiting notions and beliefs.
Never is this so clear as when one trips on acid or mushrooms and is forced and rushed right past their beliefs and comfort zones into a world/experience they had not yet imagined. If I've learned anything in my 56 years in 3D, its that we are limited only by what we are prematurely sure of. It is I who lock myself into whatever I choose.
I suspect that there simply is no limit to what can be done by consciousness, but 3D is a very persuasive environment, regardless of the very phenomenal illusion. We study matter in physics, and yet the noumenal world, the real world, is 99.9999% empty space (including each of us), and the rest of what the atomic structure is comprised of is now humorously called wavicles by physicists because of the seemingly odd behavior of subatomic "particles". They behave like harmonic waves until Consciousness observes them - only then do they take on the phenomenal illusory nature of so called "particles" or "matter".
When we wake up from our chosen dream, we will find we never were not flying. What else can harmonics and frequency and vibration be???

You don't think that sounds unkind? How can you be so sure the Law of Attraction doesn't exist?
Personally, I have my doubts about the L of A, but I don't go around telling other people they're brainwashed for believing it.

I have been walking around with this in my head for weeks now....Throw away everything you think you know,,and enter every situation "empty",,,,and new things can happen !! This is how I went to Wuhan to visit my "friend" for my last couple of weeks in china...I had that "I am Grateful" video in my head,,and just kept telling her everything was perfect,,,,and had the most extreme time (that includes both extremes,ha!), of my life !! I tried to throw out all past experiences, especially in relationships,,and it was great ! Now I am back in the US working,, and have come way down,,but am starting to get it back,,acting like it's the first time I have done anything and everything that is put in front of me...It pisses my boss off a little,,but other than that,,it's helping me keep present,,and always on the lookout for new experiences...

My answer to 9 is; 'live through December 20', and to 10; 'live through Dec. 21st'. When you get to Dec. 22 you will have a better idea what to do.(I think I'm being a little facetious.)
Actually, I like what Tscout said, " enter every situation "empty",,,,and new things can happen !!" I don't know what will happen tomorrow, let alone Dec. 21. If that is the end of a cycle, so be it and it just means its the beginning of a new cycle - enjoy it!
Now, just to put all your minds at ease, I have a new date for the end of the world. I guarantee it and if I am wrong I will buy you all a pizza. The new date (note the significant numbers embedded in it) is: 3,911,112,012 on Dec. 21! Now, prove me wrong!
