it is a energetic food source willfully delivered in ignorance. a sobering thing to consider that the "them" we blame are nurtured and strengthened by the "us" we presume to be...
it is most definitely a collaborative experiment in a free will environment clung to by both those who claim to love it just the way it is and by those stating a desire to transcend it...

Thanks, Chris. I woke up with that thought this morning. I then took it a bit further:
Our fear of our own shadows is what gives the shadow forces of our world their power. By facing our fears, both individual and collective, we can transform our lives and world for the better.
I even added this to the homepage of WTK. Cool stuff!
Much love and joy,
Fred
Addressing things on this level,,(closer to the planck scale), is so much more appealing to me ! It is the bigger picture,,and helps me to see things from a perspective free of all the "stuff". Of course,,"facing one's fears" could be quite personal, but , looking at them on an energetic level ,IMO, helps to get past them much easier. There truly is nothing to fear but fear itself,,,On the surface, we "feed", "them", by subscribing to the "conditions" of survival,,,and waste our precious life force away just trying not to end up on the street....That fear alone is enough to grow a big pot belly on "them".....So let's starve them out !!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,L,,,T
Thanks so much Fred, sometimes the simplest thoughts have the greatest Power.
You know facing the fear was one of the first things that came to my mind when I first read your post. Loved that link too Chris, it is all energy & vibrations, and we all know that.
IMHO the best way to face Fear, is head on with Love. Just the type of Love Elizabeth was talking about in another post.
I guess what I mean is stop feeding these people with Fear, extend to them our deepest Love.
I was watching a very good doco the other day "The Corporation" it was through Todd's post on Films for Action, while I watched I came to a realisation that most of the CEO's were doing a job the best they could, under extreme pressure from the stakeholders, you could see in their eyes and sometimes hear in their voices, they really knew the choices they were making only benefitted those stakeholders, they were not good moral choices for the Planet or us.
When we are intent upon being conscious/aware of the energy we are feeding "them" with, we are loving "them" by delivering a more healthy energy/vibration diet to "them". Obviously a win win win
I've read of a mental exercise you can do to try and overcome fears and that is to use your imagination to visualize your fears happening in as much detail as you can...allow yourself to fully feel the fear and imagine exactly what would happen were your worst fears realized...what is supposed to happen is at the end of it you realize you are still standing and work your way through how you would cope with such a reality occurring until you pep talk yourself up to a plan of action for overcoming whatever negative event you were afraid of. The fear is acknowledged and released in the best case scenario. I personally have a hard time with this excersize or allowing myself to feel any negative emotion for that matter but perhaps it might benefit someone else.
Thank you so much for that, Jennifer. That is exactly a technique I have used since childhood and found very helpful. By being willing to confront my deepest fears, I have been consistently amazed to discover that they are not so terrifying after all.
With lots of love and gratitude,
Fred
Whenever I try to do these exercises I tend to develop some sort of block which prevents me from going further. I haven't tried in a while though. I find that it's better not to force myself with these types of things...it just leads to frustration! I have to be ready. Might be time to try again soon though, not neccisarily with fears but with releasing of emotions such as anger. I'm a chronic suppresser of any emotion I have deemed to be 'immature' and tend to dismiss such feelings without releasing them or validating them and I know this is not good! I'm sure this unwillingness to feel or express 'negative' emotions stems from fear on some level and a rejection of these aspects of myself that I percieve as being 'wrong' in some way. I'm not sure if it was you who suggested voice dialogue to me when I was taking the personal growth course? I have used this method a few times since learning about it and have scratched the surface of a lot of suppressed anger and fears...I was surprised at how many voices there really are!
Sounds like you know yourself and how much you can handle fairly well, Jennifer. That's very helpful. I only invite you to remember that every aspect of you, even those that might seem to be "wrong," are there for a reason. I've found that the more I've come to honor every aspect and learn to dance with and integrate the shadows both within myself and out in the world, the richer my life becomes. May you enjoy the journey!
Thanks Fred...that is my exact intention when I do the voice dialogue work, to try and allow these aspects to come forward and be integrated into the whole. :)
As you speak of dancing with the shadows, some questions come to mind. I have been reading through a website called Lyricus recently and a part of it was talking about how our idea of saintly figures tends to represent the spiritually savvy in our minds.
In the website, it talks about how some of the most spiritual people are some of the most normal. They are the ones that struggle with issues of daily life and embrace them. My questions then turns to some of the habits in my life.
I like to consider myself a pretty spiritual person, but I very much enjoy some things that are often considered quite the opposite. I like to drink, smoke, and partake in a few other bad habits from time to time.
At times I feel like these things are holding me back. At others, I feel like they are allowing me to grow while keeping me anchored in this world as well. They also allow me to meet new people, have great conversations, and enjoy my life.
I guess my question is what do you think of these so-called "bad habits?"
I have come to believe that everything requires moderation, even moderation itself at times. Any thoughts?
Like you said, Nick, some people use "bad habits" to ground themselves. It can sometimes be frightening to drift too far away from the physical as we attain heights in the spiritual world.
One thing that may help is to visualize yourself rooted in the earth. This can be done by imagining a hook extending from your root chakra into the ground.
Energy healers also use this technique in order to safeguard their own energy while channeling healing forces from the ethers.
I may not have expressed that correctly, but I think you get the idea.
Fred, I'm curious on your thought that what you think is wrong about yourself is still useful. How do you think that? I'll need to digest that awhile because it is a daily problem for me. I fight my own failings all day long. It's hard to imagine their useful. Maybe they allow me to have empathy for others I can see are going thru the same crap? I know that's useful for bonding sometimes or letting go of judging people but is that it? Those just seem like adaptions to an intractable problem to me.
Brian, the core of it for me is that ultimately there is no wrong or right. So there is nothing "wrong" with me or with anyone. There are simply habits and beliefs that I picked up at one point which somehow served me at the time I took them on, but no longer serve in this present moment. So my task is to first identify these beliefs and behaviors, and then make a concerted effort to shift them. Having judgment of these behaviors, in my experience, only muddies the whole process.
All parts of us are there for a reason. It's gets back to accepting what is both in ourselves and in the world, yet also doing all we can to create a better life and world. So consider the possibility that every part of you is there for a reason, no matter how much it may not serve you right now. If you can accept each part for what it is without judgment, it can then become much easier to deal with these parts and invite them to come into aligment with your deeper intentions in life. I welcome your thoughts.
With much love and support,
Fred
