He is telling a compelling tale. A bit like Carl Sagan. I feel his excitement at seeing something larger. It feels like the wonder created in people simply from the mushrooming information created by science and its understanding of our history, cosmology and miraculous biology. It has the benefit of being an honest tale woven from proven things.

My own version includes psi and I don't think his does. I think we are all profoundly connected through time and space and not only through a story, however beautiful, (it is beautiful) of sequential evolutionary events. I feel we are all connected to the souls of those who have died and to those waiting to be born. I believe that there are others watching over us and supporting us-loving us and doing what they can to help us. With me there is a more complex universe of timeless connection and I don't have the beautiful words to convey this personal view. It doesn't lend itself to this. Is this a great illusion and only a game to learn to love?  Who knows? Peace

I share your mysticism, Brian. It is as though there is a portal in my mind/spirit, and just through the door, just out of sight, the souls of all who have lived before and the Spirit of God are waiting, encouraging in unseen ways, and sending their wisdom. I sense them there and receive some of their messages in unspoken ways through the unconscious mind and spirit. It is meditation and meditative prayer that makes such sensing possible. As I gain in mastery of those skills, I sense their presence and their love more. Someday I will join them, and it will be a completion and fulfillment of that sensing. For now it is an exquisite and delicious mystery.
