  I just wanted to share some pics with everybody !!  I live on the very Southern Oregon Coast . As you can see a very beautiful place this thread is for you IJ I like to take pics as well.

Great pictures my friend, what awesome coastline. Google mapped it, man there's a highway running all along there magnificent. Reminds me of our Kaikoura caostline, in the South Island East coast, they go whale watching there, quite famous.

Anyway thanks so much for posting, looks like it can be pretty wild there looking at the massive bits of driftwood.

I was recently camping at Patrick's Point in N. California. When I saw the first of these pictures, I thought they were from that area. Have you been that far south? it is a very amazing park.

   I drove the coast from Brookings OR. all the way down to Santa Barbara , CA.  What a treat let me tell you. I drove 101 south to a town called Leggett then you head west towards the ocean and jump on CA. 1 and drove hwy 1 all the way down to San francisco CA. then you jump back on 101 for a bit . Then we drove across the Golden gate bridge and headed west again to Half Moon Bay and drove through Santa Cruz CA. The best stretch to me was from Carmel to Morro Bay that was one of the most beautiful drives I have been on . I almost drove the whole coast of CA.  Moreover, I also drove the whole coast of Oregon From Broookings to Astoria, that was just as awesome I have to say .  I will dig up some pics from my trip and share them soon .    Thank you

Yes and we have some crazy winter storms !!!!!!!!!

  I have been as far south as Santa Barbara , CA , Oh and by the way thank you .  I heard of Patrick's Creek camp ground but have  never heard of  Patricks Point .  Where is it ?

Hi Eric-

Thanks for the pictures - I recognized the coast from visiting there in the 1980's! My internship after college was with the BLM in Roseburg. Oregon is beautiful. Wish I could visit New Zealand too - maybe someday.

What a gorgeous place, and what struck me is I don't see any trash on the beach.

Forgive my cynicism, but I just completed a project on plastic pollution, specifically regarding the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (gyre) near Hawaii.  In just 70 years, our love affair with plastic has sullied some of the most pristine places on earth. 

I'd like to know how the Oregon coast was spared.  It's like a dream come true!
