Have you felt odd just recently? I and a sensitive friend felt unaccontably disturbed.
It took me ages to find this graphic http://www.solarsystemscope.com/ison/
This shows comet ISON's path round the sun.
This shows comet ISON's path round the sun.
But on it's way out from the Sun it get very close indeed!
As you can see from the video. In December, specially the 1st 2 weeks.
So try to keep other life stresses to minimum throughout December if you can.
good luck!

PS it’s OK it’s not dangerous, despite some of the wayout stuff online. The preppers are looking forward to a mega disaster. The comet passes well outside the orbit of the moon. On the return from the sun slingshot in December/January, the plume of dust driven off ISON by the sun will create an impressive meteor shower.
Anytime we get depressed or stressed feelings are an opportunity. They indicate we can work on accessing our higher selves, souls, and send blessings to all beings. It might be the trigger for initiation of Earth, Humanity and individuals.
is pulling a spiralling trail of not only dust but also electro-magnetic waves/particles from some further reaches of galctic space...
An aquaintance who had a super crazy UFO experience spontaneously took up painting. He painted a dream where he was told by an ET about two comets that would show up now. He painted it in 2007 shortly after his experience and showed it to me the other day. He was told Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve were the special dates for one of them..and one of the comets looked like the crazy shapes this comet Ison has made.
even if ison does a normal fly by,,,there are two more comets on the way,,,and at least one of them is due about the same time next year...It is a great setup for the cry wolf scenario
How to Best View Comet ISON’s Closest Flyby to the Sun (Thursday, November 28)

The close flyby of the 2013 Comet ISON to the Sun on Thursday, November 28, brings a rare celestial viewing opportunity. Given below are some safe tips on how to best view the “Comet of the Century” on perihelion day.
In the Huff Post Science report, the astronomers currently believe that Comet ISON is rapidly brightening up, therefore making the space object easily visible to the naked eye under the dark sky. The comet may grow brighter until it reaches perihelion on Thursday and it becomes visible even in daylight but viewers may be in danger from the solar glare.
The astronomers will be observing Comet ISON during daytime but they will block the Sun’s disk then carefully look close-by to pick up the space object.
“If you try to observe Comet ISON on or around Thanksgiving, when it’s near the Sun, DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN! This could blind you and make the observation the last one you will ever make,” the Huff Post report said.
Bob King of Universe Today, a long-time amateur astronomer and member of the American Association of Variable Star Observers (AAVSO), also suggests that viewers should block out the Sun’s glare with power poles, buildings, roof gables, church steeples or even clouds to serve as sun filters. “They effectively remove the sun and allow you to look as close as is safe. Safety is critical here – never look directly at the sun. The damage to your retina will be swift and painless. No comet is worth losing your precious sense of sight,” Mr King noted.
He further added: “I’ve been asked if you can simply hold an appropriate solar filter over your eye to dim the sun. Yes you can, but the filter will also completely block your view of the much, much fainter comet. Use the filter instead to dim the sun so you can hunt nearby for the comet.”
Comet ISON can be seen through binoculars given there is a bright twilight and little obstruction from the last quarter Moon. Viewers must find the perfect horizon to the southeast as the comet lies underneath Spica, the brightest star in Virgo and planets Saturn and Mercury.
Another suggestion for the viewers is to wait until Comet ISON resurfaces on the other side of the Sun two or three days later. On Saturday, November 30, the “Comet of the Century” will rise approximately 30 minutes before the Sun and become visible in significant twilight.
However, the Mother Nature Network report points out that staring at the Sun and Comet ISON can be a risky activity for the viewers’ eyes so the Web site recommends to watch the comet’s close flyby to the Sun online on Thanksgiving Day as an alternative
I shall try to remember to look for it on xmas eve.
"the last one you will ever make". ha. that crap about looking at the sun. old wives' tales.
ever heard of sungazing anyone? it's what the students in ancient temples would start their day with because the color and light from the sun have the unique ability to immediately arrest the minds' restless perigrinations. here in boulder without having an unbroken vista to the horizon, i use the simpler method of gazing at the clouds at sunset once the sun has gone below the mountains but the clouds are still inflamed. the mind just shuts off. wonderful stuff.
the more formal method is to stand barefoot on the earth (soil, no plants or anything between) at sunrise and gaze at the rising sun for 10 seconds. every day adding 10 seconds to the duration until 44 minutes is reached (about 9 months later) and then you are finished. this process allows the sun to heal defects in the organism and reset the system. i believe after that point you are always aware of the sun's influence and know exactly where it is (even on the other side of the planet).
and after that connection is made, one can potentially sense the influence of other star systems and bodies floating through space on a more subtle level.
there are many different moon meditations (some involving the third eye area of the forehead and slightly crossing the eyes to make the appearance of two moons and then rejoin them in the region of the pituitary gland)...
one of the most powerful realizations when expanding one's vision is how far we can "see" if we project our sensings. clouds and mountains are great for that and so is the moon. because if you watch it long enough, you become aware of its movement. and when you think that it's 26,000 miles away or whatever, that's pretty incredible. because except for sun, moon and planets, the rest of it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. it looked pretty much that way when dinosaurs roamed the earth. crazy.
and we can see farther and think faster than anything we'll ever create. visual technology has already tapped out in the 3d medium, so they're going to explore ever more intrusive methods with which to hold our attention.
and i just have to throw this out there because it haunts me from time to time... imagine BEING the sun. imagine a meditation that you can't come out of because lives are depending on your unflagging concentration on transmutation of substance and providing of light. when the mind wanders about or the back starts aching when sitting (zazen) and the circus of associations commences to make keeping the center difficult... none of that! and most beings on the planet don't consciously recognize and appreciate that dedication.
i recommend the song "the sun" by they might be giants. lovely.
i'll finish this little diatribe off with a quote taken from The Great Pyramid Decoded by Peter Lemesurier and originally from some translation of the Chilam Balam of Chumayel:
All moons, all years, all days, all winds, reach their completion and pass away. So does all blood reach its place of quiet, as it reaches its power and its throne. Measured was the time in which they could praise the splendour of the Trinity. Measured was the time in which they could know the sun's benevolence. Measured was the time in which the grid of stars would look down upon them; and through it, keeping watch over their safety, the gods trapped within the stars would contemplate them.
Hi Oriole,
Yes, I've been somewhat of a funk lately too but not sure if it's just the lack of sunlight or maybe too much junk food on turkey day.
Good idea, Chris - I tried sungazing for a little while before, maybe I should do it a bit more to get myself out of this funk.
I've been an intermittent sun gazer for a few years now. I thouroughly enjoy it and I find it very difficult to articulate just what it is about the experience that I enjoy so much; I just feel deeply nourished by it. I hadn't gaxed in many months when one afternoon I was wandering around in the wood on the hills above Oakland and I found myself squatting down and gazing. For some reason I was able to just relax and take it in and I stared until the sun dropped below the trees beneath me. I now find I can gaze for any length of time I want when the opportunity is available and I have the time...I have, on several occasions, gazed for over an hour.
BTW, no problems with my eyes.
There's a lot of cloud cover where I live so I haven't been able to practice sun gazing everyday, but proponents attest to a number of its benefits. ~ Noa
Details on how to sun gaze at http://www.in5d.com/sun-gazing.html
Starmonkey,,,I also enjoyed the sunset gazing while in Taos,,,,The Sangre de Cristo's are so perfect at this time of day,,,clouds and mountains melting together in red,,,,"the Blood of Christ"...everything is so intense at that altitude. When the wind blows in the springtime,,,sometimes 30-50 miles an hour all day,,,for days,,,,it just stops at sunset,as if it were enjoying the same awe as us. I used to call it the solar wind. That shift of energy ,at that time of the day seemed to manifest in that scene.......
So, if what they say about the pyramids is true,,(that they are giant batteries, built to capture all that energy at these two times of the day,,,around sunrise and sunset),,,then,,,it only makes sense that we can do the same. Our spleen is a battery,,,as are all the layers of fasciae between the muscles. The theory in qiqong is to purge the fasciae of toxins, emotions, etc.,,,and fill them with energy, reducing the need for muscle mass(martially),,and increasing our abilities as that "conduit" for everything, all that is,raising our vibration,,etc....it all fits!
If it's true that man is the go-between,,,the mixer of heaven and Earth,,,"the creator", then the sun and moon are obviously our tools, along with everything else, seen or unseen...
I posted this once on this site,,,but,I think this post is a good place to embed it. It's an old Taoist practice called "swallowing the sun and Moon". The old transcripts say that those who practiced this diligently became "fairies" which, translates to "immortals". An exercise to use the imagination in the "mixing process"...
The week of the full moon, stand in view of the moon once it is up, when the energy is fresh. using the gaze, take a big mouthful of it, the moon energy,,make sure you have it,,,then,,,in one big gulp,,swallow it. Feel it drop to the stomach, then perhaps, even deeper,to the root. You should feel it hit bottom.... Take your time, keep the breathing calm , and repeat it 6 more times, 7 mouthfuls in all...Stand for a couple of minutes quietly, then go about your business. You should be able to get 5 days/nights in, and it's alright to start a night or two before it is technically full. You will soon be able to feel when it is prime for eating. If it is too late in the evening,,once the moon is high,,,there will be nothing to "bite into"....
The week of the new moon,,,,do this practice with the sun,as soon as it is above the horizon. There is only a small window of time before the energy shifts drastically to yang. Eating it after that will raise the heartbeat, and make you feel restless...It is so fresh when it first comes up,,the change will be very noticeable. Do the same thing,,,7 big gulps, and swallow each one, feeling it on it's path down. Personally, I like to imagine it radiating outward once it reaches bottom... Do seven times,,,stand a couple of minutes,,then go about your business...
don't look for results, as it is an exercise in knowing, and obviously takes place a lot closer to the planck scale than we can track with our analytical sides.....L....T
thanks for the exercise! i'll check it out here in the next week... i have a couple other cool taoist meditations related to same that i've tried. the "5 mystic codes": heart secret, emerging secret, mind secret, mouth secret & body secret from some qi gong lessons. powerful stuff with the proper focus. was just down in your neck of the woods and enjoyed it very much! snow everywhere... my wife and i are fans of Brandon Maldonado's art, so we visited his studio in taos on our way back from santa fe. love the high desert and the san de christos. we go to Valley View hot springs in the OLT and Crestone music festival... wish we could afford to live over there!
thanks again,
