Here's an interesting look at the campaign commercials used by Nixon and Kennedy in 1960.  Looks like times have changed... and some things never change.

After watching these awful ads, I'm amazed that Kenedy won. He was such an eloquant speaker and the ads are just jingles and junk - amazing.
