It's a cool idea, but Walt Disney beat him to it with Cinerama in 1955 and Circle-Vision 360 in 1957. 

The thing is, whether its a 360 degree movie or a flat screen TV, the subconscious can't distinguish between images that are real and those that are imaginary (fiction).  That's why it's imperative to take care what we allow into our consciousness. 

Our thoughts shape our reality.  The matrix knows this, which is why the media is constantly bombarding us with disturbing images in order to keep us down.  The antidote, of course, is to feed our brains with images that inspire and elevate us.

Sounds so wonderful but....This most likely will become widely used as the ultimate mind control technology. Movies and TV are already powerful mind control tools, now the seperation between reality and virtual reality will be even thinner. This guy says he will be filming for empathetic reasons, but just imagine what can be done with today's computer editing techniques? People will think they are really with the person in India or wherever, and assume that because they can see 360 degrees they will get the whole story but the technology exists to edit out vast amounts of what is said or heard or even replace parts, or just use actors to begin with, like they did at Newtown, Ct. I feel them pulling at people's heart strings to sell something extremely dangerous, kind of like Africom was sold, etc...

I'm with Wendy.  Technologies like these are ripe for abuse.  Personally, I feel that every step we take away from nature is a move away from who we are.  I think the evolving trend is to discover ourselves by looking within.

One thing I have learned to be true for me is that every time I think I need to look to the outer world instead of the inner one for answers I discover that, in that moment and for at least that moment, I have disconnected from Source.  When I think the answers are outside myself I separate myself, Source never denies me a thing. I do. Something I work on.

    Granted, the military and the ptb have always had first grabs at technology, and I'm sure they already have this one too. But ordinary films, and actors in the news have been quite effective for them already. I think they are already capable of far more than the concerns voiced here.

     And no one said that virtual reality is  or has the answers to anything. To me it is just another step in our experience, the experience that is slowly but surely leading us back to ourselves. There is no stopping it, it's already here, like everything else we have created. Personally, having a beautiful experience induced by VR could help me to be able to visualize it internally easier, as I have that memory to visualize internally.then expand on it.. Regardless of all the downsides of how technology has been used,(mostly because of the misuse of the research money), I think our beliefs in what is possible increase due to our exposure to it. Maybe it is true that technology is us reaching out and expanding our consciousess, but there are steps to it. First we build it,not knowing that we don't need to do it with machines. Then we experience it, and the possibilities that come with it. The next step is to realize that we don't need it, that we don't need phones to communicate, or virtual reality to step into another's experience, that we have these abilities. Maybe, because we were taught about our limitations for so long, we have to build these things externally first, only to eventually discover, or re-discover , that we don't need them. The same concerns will probably rise again when we realize we CAN do the same things with our minds, as the power and responsibility that comes with it are immense. What if we all woke up tomorrow and could fly? Or,,,superimpose a vr setting on anyone we chose? Or,,,materialize and rematerialize at will? Sounds cool, but obviously, with the state of mind , and the survival instinct so strong due to living in this world of scarcity,havoc would ensue... Soo my point is, these steps in  technology seem to be necessary, as they bring us closer to the realization by showing us things that were, up to this point assumed to be impossible.....  i say bring it! and hold on to your hats!

Good points, Todd.  Much of what we are experiencing is helping us to decide what we DON'T want.  However, I wonder how much of technology is helping us to get what we DO want.  As we become more reliant on things like computers to think for us, we are moving farther away from who we are.  For most people, developing telepathy takes practice, and I don't see a lot of people exercising that option.

To get to where we can materialize at will is going to require a huge shift in consiousness.  As long as we can turn on a machine to do things for us, I don't think people are likely to take the initiative to develop these skills.

I once read (alleged esoteric info) that the two most difficult rites of passage for a developing humanoid species is the splitting of the atom and the pitfalls of technology.  If we make it through and move on much as Todd said, that's cool.  If we don't, that's fine too.  Must be a billion other ongoing scenarios similar to ours in the expanding and ever-developing Cosmos (conservative estimate I'm assuming).

Much like lab work, there will be successes and failures in the myriad of developing sentient species.  It's all good and fine with me.  Much like REM, "It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine!"

Another way to view it is that the process of purification involves the removal of impurities.  Some of the "apparent" negative stuff we see along the way could be viewed as part of the purification process, removal of the fodder so to speak.

In any case, what a great dialog in this forum!  Reminds me very much of the stuff that was discussed, how it was discussed with such imagination, in circa 2008 when this was the Transformation Team website.  It's wonderful to sense hints of that genre again!

         I agree with you too Noa,,there is no doubt that computers have affected us in good ways, and in bad ways. It used to takea lot of hard and time consuming research to learn about something,and now it's available at the touch of a finger. To me,this can be a good aspect. The information age to me is a model being built of the akashic record. Of course it's probably not even close to that yet, but it seems to be the outpicturing of what we all know somewhere inside us. And,,,the akashic record is supposed to be the unadulterated truth,ha!, unless some other race has hacked that! ha, the way people can "buy their stories and life history" here on the internet. But, it seems that it eventually has to lead us to seek out and find access to the akashic record,as the internet becomes more corrupted, and we have to go within to find that. Either way, with instant access to information, we have more time to try to make better decisions using the info....

      I have such mixed feelings about video games.I play minecraft with my son when I am overseas,and we talk on qq while we roam around and create things there. He plays a few other games as well, but not too much. He also writes poetry almost every day,and is an ace in school, helping other kids with math.He also mentors younger kids(cub scouts), is into parkour,basketball, runs marathons,and is a great human being. So I know it's possible to wade through all the crap we are having thrown at us  on a daily basis and still be ok. That said, I know there are hundreds of games being put out that are altering a lot of young minds,,,into what I'm not sure! But, as far as my kid goes, he plays outside,often by himself for hours, creating scenarios,etc.,much like we did when we were kids. I don't worry about him too much, other than his obsession with zombies,,haha! That seems to be the craze, he even portayed a scene as Carl, rick's son on the walking dead at a comic fest in Washington and won first place.

     If it is true that the akashic record is all around us, in the fabric of "space", then sooner or later we will access it, and I wouldn't want to be,,,sayyy,, a politician when we do!Edgar Cayce claimed it was his source, and he did it while sleeping,so meditation seems to be the key.

     Obviously, the emf from our phones and computers is bad news, and for sure the cell phone companies aren't going to change to a safer tech voluntarily,,so there is no good side to that part of it..I want to build a hemp house with 18 inch thick walls, it would probably block emf from the outdoors,like adobe does. Anyone who unplugs their router at night must notice how much better they sleep. Cell phones don't work in the old adobe homes where I lived in new mexico.

    The electronics industry is huge, wasteful, and is a big part of economies, so there's no doubt that they will never show us what they're really capable of,,,leaving it up to us to change them by not supporting them,just like gmo food..

    I know I said before that I would like to use some images from something like VR to help me visualize within. In reality, I believe we are supposed to create our images within, then outpicture them to become masters of our lives and situations,,,,we are so bombarded with millions of pictures everyday,it is dangerous to look for any  answers outside of us. But,,all the new visuals  due to that tech can help visualize within. There are so many things I couldn't picture,or even fathom before the world became so interconnected with the internet. So I will try to use it to my advantage, picturing it as a primitive version of what I believe we are all striving for, whether we know it or not,,,L,,,,T

       They seem to be the energetic views of  places as opposed to our usual 3d view of things. Add in a few of the entities representing celestial bodies, or plants, and the inside of the old Allman bros. "Eat a peach" album comes to mind. For those who remember it,it was full of magic mushroom entities! What a trip! Thanks Noa, the vision paintings are great,,but not  what I had in mind. I don't know if I'm ready to see things as pure energy yet,,,I am more focused on creating fixed pictures and situations inside,,,,then outpicturing them. I believe this is the necessary step to becoming a "responsible creator",,,,one step at a time....
