The NY Times recently ran an interesting article about the expansion of TSA from the airports into local security at such places as train and bus stations and sports events. They are conducting warrantless random searches against the Fourth Amendment. The police state slowly continues to grow because most people don't know their Constitutional rights, and many who do still meekly submit. My suggestion: politely but firmly refuse any searches without probable cause, and cite your Fourth Amendment right to freedom from unwarranted search and seizure. That's what I plan to do.

“The degree of liberty or tyranny in any government is, it follows, in large degree a reflection of the relative determination of the subjects to be free and their willingness and ability to resist efforts to enslave them.” ~ Gene Sharp, From Dictatorship to Democracy

You're a true patriot, Chuck. If everyone acted with your calm conviction, Big Brother would soon be out of steam.
I remember not too long ago a TSA bigwig saying,"Flying is a privilege, not a right." This was in response to complaints about the intrusive searches at airports. Will the day come when Americans view the acts of attending sporting events, music festivals, rodeos, or shopping at malls as "privileges?" Or will we say 'enough is enough' and take back our power?
