I saw Eat, Pray, Love today, and just loved it! I think it's a movie that many of you will like. It touched my heart the way the book did when I first read it a few years back.
Lots of love,
Kathy

Not out in movies here till October???
Just watched the trailer though, looked like a fun journey, and based on a true story. Did not say who it was based on though.
The author of the memoir, "Eat, Pray, Love" is Elizabeth Gilbert. Not sure about NZ, but it was a huge best seller in the US, based on word of mouth, and a little push from Oprah Winfrey. I read the book when it came out, and cried nearly all the way through it. Some of them were tears of pain and sadness, many were tears of joy and triumph. A great combo! Same with the movie.
If you're interested, consider reading the book.

I probably will see the movie based on your recommendation. I have been disappointed in many movies that were made from a book - especially if the book was really good. Glad to hear this is one that made it into a movie form and is still worth seeing. I really enjoyed how the book was written and was sorry to reach the end of it. It's on my "favorite's" list.
Thanks for the recommendation,
With Love,
Mary
Now you've gone and embarrassed me in advance K! I'll have to see it now and for sure I'll be crying so "unmanly like" though the whole thing. It's so embarrassing walking through the lobby afterwards and people trying to read your expression for whether you liked it or not, and I'll be all read-eyed and puffy, sniffling...Does anyone have some really big sunglasses I could borrow?
Well, Brian, the good news is that the ending was lovely enough to allow for a regrouping before you have to walk through the lobby. Thank heaven for small favors. Bring tissues. :') See it this weekend, and we'll talk about it soon! The first part hit home quite significantly with me.
lots of love,

Hi!
I´ve just finished to read the book. It´s great!
I don´t know when the movie will start in Brazil, but I intend to see it.
With love,
Erika

Hi, Erika!
Welcome home! I hadn't read the book in over 3 years, so I'm not sure if the film was 100% true to the book, but I thought it was just great. Keep a look out in Brazil. Ian suggested it would be November in New Zealand, so maybe late this year for you, too.
Lots of love,
Kathy
