(Obsessive Debunking Disorder) ODD

Thanks Unite,

It was a bit long, but worth the read.  BTW, I like what you post on here and how you try to open up discussions.  I apologize for not replying as often as I'd like.  I just want you to know that I think you're doing great work in this world on a metaphysical plane.

Keep it up!

Snagged this from the article.  (I tried to be hynotised - wanted to do a past life regression, but couldn't go under.)

Hi Noa!

That is one of the things that really stuck out to me as well.  I think there are many types of intelligence in this world (i.e. book smarts, street smarts, IQ, EQ, spiritual intelligence, etc.).  If you judge someone based on your intelligence, you may be missing something.

To quote Albert Einstein, "Everybody is a genius.  But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."

Some people are fish and were made for swimming.  Some are monkeys and were made to climb trees (or as I like to think of it, judge others and think of themselves as intelligent).  I know I'm a fish.  I love to swim.  People may think I'm stupid, but the truth is I really don't care.

Peace on my brothers and sisters!

I would love for some of those monkeys to get in the water with me.  They have no idea how deep I can go, ha!

Sorry for all the same replies.  That's just me being a fish I guess!

You've got a point about different types of intelligences, Nick.  I'm guessing that the above quote refers to intellectual/cognitive ability.

I wonder where an idiot savant or someone with autism or biopolar disorder might fall within this study.

Interesting thing, the brain.

excellent, it helps me understand the unfortunate ODDs I know.

I think it all boils down to time spent being programmed and the rewards for "good" programming.

Those who do "well" in school have the most ego invested in their success and also frequently spend the longest amount of time in school (being programmed). Personally, I don't think they really are the most intelligent or they would be able to see through the bs but I hate to judge because it's only been 10 years since I was there and I think a lot depends on the luck of experience as well.
