Today, I came across this commentary by someone named Amarynth. What a clear and brilliant view of what is going on in the world without getting entangled with the fear-mongering which is so very evident in every new peice of information which is offered. I hope you get the same sense of agreement that I did when you read this. (Emphasis mine)

These two happenings served as a great awakening for humanity, not what the old powers and principalities envisioned.
Now
Europe - Fires that may send radioactive smoke over Europe.
In the meantime fully a third of Pakistan is under water with flooding with millions upon millions of people in real dire trouble.
These are weather wars. There is much speculation in the alternative news that HAARP or a similar collider type technology was used to manipulate the jet stream (higher level winds that circle the planet and drive weather systems) to simply stop, and rain and rain and rain ... or in Russia, just stop and the temperature goes up and up and up.
And this is being used to pump up the emotions of the populace something fierce .. to keep all in a state of dissonance - a state of building tension and releasing tension. This, to my mind is large scale manipulation of people; brainwashing. Fear mongering, dissonance, keeping people off balance, off center - against a backdrop of war drums rattling - Russia, China, The Koreas, Iran, Former USSR States, major firepower from US side in Costa Rica (to keep Central and South America squarely in sight.)
I am in agreement that this will continue. But this is pure fear mongering .. The Problem - Action - Solution Hegelian dialectic turned to top volume. This dialectic framework is used to guide our thoughts and actions into great conflict, and shape our perceptions of the world so that either through fear or through confusion, we accept a pre-determined solution that someone else made up. The methodology is employed to shape our perceptions of the world so that we are malleable to implement someone else's vision.
This solution or vision is sure not to be in our best interest as free people. When we remain locked into dialectical thinking, we cannot see the wood for the trees, or distinguish the smoke from the fire.
It is truly difficult to decide where to place our energies. And currently it is like there is still this sticky string that holds us tied to a passe reality. My sense is that we should place our energies on building the new, to remain outside of duality and to energize in ourselves a further awakening, renaissance and frequency step up for humanity as a whole.
If I have to focus on each of the fear messages I would be exhausted in trying to stay outside of duality, because I'll want to beat up the buggers. Right now I have to make some flight and travel decisions and I want to just stay out of European Airspace. Two messages are already affecting my life materially; one of war and the other of earth changes. So, in reality, I'm already caught up in the Hegelian dialectic.
For those of us that march to a different drummer, it is the most difficult decision as to where to place our energies. But folks, stand firm on that piece of the mother's soil that sucks your feet to it! There where you are happy. It is going to get rougher and tougher! Focus on integrating and creating the new, smell it, breathe it, vision it and live as if you are in the space that you envision. Be sure that this time we will walk the path of ascension to its end. This time humanity will not fail, or perhaps, some of humanity will not fail. What was it that I read recently that just lifted my spirits ... We did not come to fail!

"Be discerning" Now there's a refreshingly clear and simple message that is not likely to change any time soon. As I was reading I was moved to remember how liberating it is to know what we know about what these ruling elite "buggers" are up to, trying to program a world community by fear and manipulation.
Sometimes we take for granted what we have become aware of and seemingly forget how very stuck most of us were before we got somewhat unstuck. There is more stickiness to get through, but most of us have been over a very liberating hurdle. On one side of the hurdle, vigorously defending the status quo as if it were our honorable duty to god, country, family and community.
On the other side of the hurdle, the abandoning of such nonsensical controlling trivial notions. We do well to remember from time to time how clear we are of such controlling machinations, and how stuck many still are in those romantic notions carefully designed to control a slave population. In the 3rd world, slaves who feel like slaves. In the developed world, slaves who don't know they are slaves, even while presenting themselves each day to the well-developed status quo machine they are enslaved to...
Or maybe we are not as much over the hurdle as we would like to think? If there is any truth to what the Lyricus Teaching Order says about the Human Mind System designed to have so many layers to entrap us, then the liberation we feel is yet one more illusion, a form of manufactured dissent...
What a ride!!!!
What a good reminder to not get caught up in all the nonsense that's out there! I have reminded myself (when fully awake) to look beyond what is being presented, to what is being hidden. To ask, "what are they hiding from us now?", when a random story perculates up and catches everyone's attention. I can do this with varying degrees of success. So much more for me to learn.... sigh

Great thread. If I can try to distill all that's been said here so far, it would be this:
Whatever we're told about whatever events occur, just say, "Is that so?", and then go on about the business of living.
"Is that so?", like little mantra. A little machete to clear the jungle path.
When I came across this blog, commentary or whatever you want to call it, I shouted WOW!!! and the people in my office wondered what the devil was going on.. I just wish I knew who Amarynth is because I am sure she has a very delightful and insightful blog spot, website or whatever.
The main thing is that she has stated what I believe to be the motivating state of consciousness of our group in the Gathering Spot. Being aware of what is being promoted as "truth" in the world and reading between, below and above the lines with a big dose of intuition to give it all a truthful direction to what is actually being said.
I have totally turned off the fear reaction that I used to have when I read or hear or see on the boob tube the contrived stories that are designed to lull us into apathy or stir us up into high terror/fear/hatred, all of those negative emotions which feed the PTB. ( I want to comment on Obama's comments about the Muslim Social Center six block from ground center, but I will do that at another time! Let me say briefly, Huzzah!!!)
Not that I don't consider that, oh yeah, there is a very great chance that this world is in for some big traumatic changes in the VERY near future. But I keep in the front of my intentions, thoughts, feelings, that this whole world is indeed the holographic reality which we have in concourse created together and that it is indeed an illusion. We are dear friends, immortal, spiritual beings, having a human, flesh and blood experience, for the purpose of learning those lessons needed to continue to ascend to higher levels of spiritual evlolution.
And so whatever may be the final results of this Big Shift we are doubtless approaching, it is going to be the biggest roller coaster ride you have ever experienced. Strap down, set back and get ready to enjoy.
(those of you who don't like roller coasters will be given a milder ride!!! LOL)

I like this very much. I endeavor to stay informed and to stay disentangled. I focus as much as possible on the felt-sense of our interconnectedness and the presence of kindness, compassion and love in my heart. What will be will be. I choose love.
I agree 100%, I recently was away from any TV news or computers for 2 weeks. It was like being in a detox program. I felt like I was going through withdrawal. The ancient Romans kept the mobs distracted with the events at the Coloseum. We have our TV news programs. I'm predicting the collapse of the US dollar within 6 months or less and the mob is being kept in the dark. Hang on ladies and gentlemen, we all elected to be present at this time in history and it's going to be one hell of a ride!

Don't worry about "them".
When I look around my vicinity I don't see much strife.
I count my blessings and I'm thankful to the Creator for them, and keep on building from here.
When conflict does arise, it is because It is trying to tell me something about what I'm doing/thinking. Once that is recognized and act accordingly things get smoothed out again.
What the future holds for us no one knows, but lets keep tending our gardens (physical, social & emotional) with love, and the fruit will come all of their own. We don't make the fruit grow, we simply protect it from harm, and the Life Force brings it all about, and for that we get rewarded with "the fruits of our labors". How cool is that?

There are two great processes going on in our world and they are: the great struggle of the dark powers to gain control and dominate the world which effort will eventually fail and totally collapse and; the wonderful effort of more and more people to ignore that struggle and focus on teaching ourselves and others how to work together in unity and love for all humanity. This latter effort is the most important for when the dark world collapses we must be ready to show the confused adherents of hatred how to once again love and work together and the more help we have the better. I agree, we don't know the future, but we know the work that we need to do and we are confident that the results needed will be attained.

so true (but also before the dark world collapses, the cause of the dissolution & collapse)...
at the same time we are growing in number, former confused adherents who have realized the truth that hatred, rage and fear cannot combat the dark world, and serve only to enrich it. Great movies have such great truths in them sometimes. Remember the scene in The Empire Strikes Back when Luke and his father (Darth Vader) are fighting and Vader tells Luke to give in to his hatred?
How would one truly know what love and light is without the temptation to give into the deliciously dark recesses of hate, rage and the consuming desire to destroy what one considers to be "the enemy". How entertaining it must be for the Vaders of the Universe to reveal how easy it is to confuse the somewhat self righteous masses at this 3rd density self aware consciousness stage of the game.
This is exactly why the real revolution will not be televised. By the time the revolution has happened in the Hearts and Minds of humankind, enough to reach critical mass to spontaneously ascend past these so called dark world ruling elite forces, the manifest blossoming of authentic revolution will have happened before they ever figure out where to put the camera.
Aren't we learning that, in a very real and essential way, the dark world we thought we saw outside ourselves is actually just a reflection in the mirror? Heal thyself, heal the world...
Who would've thought this much sore temptation to hate, eradicate and eliminate would ultimately bring so much deep understanding, leading back to love and light with a boat load of experience, reduced to humorous and benign stories to share around the warm serene campfire of sacred peace with no opposite, with those once considered mortal enemies of love and peace, once considered thorns in our sides....
Wanna instantly transcend a heap of heartache and ill feeling? Hug the one considered to be the cause of those ill feelings. Hug until there's no one left to hate. And how's about that oh so common reaction of rationalizing why we cannot do such a thing (love thy perceived enemy)? Could the collection of all that insane ego-based left brain rationalization that perpetually rejects Love, could that be the skeleton key that let the perceived dark world forces out of the cage?
Are we really as innocent as we so willfully presume? Or just willing participants in this dualistic construct of light and dark who have forgotten that they agreed to the terms of the game? We were always and ever the willful and intentional thorn in our own sides. The dark enemy, just a cosmic reflection in Creation's amazing experiential mirror.
We always had and have the power to transcend our own adopted and cherished hate, rage and fear. No excuses... No rationalization... "I just plain didn't want to yet!"
That becomes more and more apparent as time rolls on...
As I read the above responses to the initial post I made, the image of a pot of water on the stove came to me. A pot over a moderate heat, not forcing it to quickly come to a boil but just stimulating it gradually to a simmer........
Have you ever watched a pot as it came to a boil? Of course you have, unless you are one of those who avoid a kitchen all together, and I can understand that there are those of you out there who do. There are those who spiritually avoid the kitchen too!!!! ( If the heat is to much, stay out of the kitchen, is what my grandmother used to say.)
In any case, the pot will sit there and soon there is a quiet hum-buz-rattle as the water becomes hotter. No action yet but definitly a vibration of stimulation. Soon, there are tiny bubbles appearing on the bottom of the pot. Some of them rising but most of them staying put, not knowing what is going on. As the environment heats up more and more of those bubbles begin to rise and grow larger and more vigorous until suddenly there is an explosion of roiling boiling activity of bubbles rising to the surface of the water, and the steam is fuming off of the surface ready to sear anything that comes within its reach. Soon the container is unable to contain the tumult of boiling, bubbling liquid and all spill over onto the source of the heat. And then as suddenly as it began the activity dies away to a peaceful and joyful effervescence of a gentle boil. The source of the heat has been quenched and returns to a more gentle level
Do you, or can you, compare our current society, economically, politically, emotionally, perhaps spiritually, to that pot of water? I can. I feel, observe every day, those individual bubbles of individuality, of what ever persuasion, coming to an aggitated state where they are ready to burst into a boil, a roil. a revolt against the current conditions imposed on us by the powers that be. Our hidden governments. Those corporate propagandas which are ever more daily pushing us to follow their directions, if we are not awake to their actions. We do not have to be the sheep that they think we are, we can and must respond to those who are demanding our spiritless fealty, that NO WE Will NOT. Let the pot boil and overflow. We have had sufficient of the overlords. It is time to resolve to claim the independant sovereignty which is ours by inheritance from the One Infinite Creator.

I am not one who knows about the kitchen or pots but I understand the concept and agree....as far as the Roller Coaster referred to in your second post above...Move Over and I will join you in the front seat for a terrific ride!!!
