Kombucha

Anyone else here drink this stuff? I've tried it a few times now and I've had some very positive results so far... increased energy and increased "body-consciousness" type effects....

I've been brewing it for about four months. I believe fermented products like kombucha, kefir, miso and such are beneficial to overall health. I went beyond just using tea. Promegranate, blueberry, unfiltered apple juice, pear nectar are excellent. I mix them half & half with several different teas; India spices, good earth, etc. I think the most important teas are Pau D' Arco, green tea and ginger. I juice the ginger root and add about 1/4 cup of the juice to 3 qts of he other stuff. I tried using chop ginger but it made the mushroom look like it had warts.

I tried elderberry once. I bought a five pound bucket of fresh picked elderberries from a vendor at our farmers market thinking that would surely make a powerhouse of drink, elderberry being such a powerful anti fungal agent. Duh. What was I thinking? The shroom is a fungus. Reduced the kombucha to little blob.
