Conspiracy

I am a fan of the comic strip Non Sequitur and the offering today gave me a pleasant chuckle which I thought to share with all of you.

Non Sequitur

Dear Berry and All:

I laughed out loud when my Husband and I read the headlines about the Swine Flu Epidemic.  Less than 100 people who all survived a mild case of the swine flu does not constitute an epidemic.  This is a media rabble rouser campaign of the flagrant sense.

Our immune systems are incredible.  Also, consider this, the pandemic of the 1915 came when most of the world was underfed and overworked and their immune systems were overtaxed by poor sanitation and tainted water that was polluted.

This is not the case now in 21st Century 1st world and some 2nd  and 3rd world countries.

fairyfarmgirl

Hey Fairy,

I was led to believe that we have damaged ourselves and are vulnerable to a serious medical problem. I thought "our" immune systems were at an all time low?......do I have that wrong?

As I understand it we do need to seriously change our diets and lifestyles because the vast majority of the western world is ripe as they have abused/missused antibiotics, we have fluoride in our water, chemicals in our foods and we have carbon monoxide fumes everywhere....we are what we eat and breathe.....generally speaking, we are ill.....

Our breath has been attacked, water is life and it is polluted in australia, unquestionably fluoride is bad for us.....we need more people to understand this so we can stop it being added......the vitamins and minerals have been removed from our foods, everything gets frozen in transport and you can taste the stuff that was frozen for a long time, I say taste but it is tasteless.....if you buy the "commercial" food it is full of harmful chemicals, we use mobile phones and overhead high voltage power lines and I know Australia topped the list for longest working hours in the world....I know heaps of people who do 60+ hour weeks, every week..........and the list goes on. ALL these things damage our immune systems, they damage our bodies ability to heal itself...they lead to depression, and that is at unprecedented levels around the world......

I think saying we are "all good" and being positive at the expense of the facts stops people from addressing the issues...people need more exercise, obesity is bad for you!..look at the weight problem in America......we should go for trips out of the cities and find some "clean" air occassionally, filter water?.."cook" your food....buy as fresh as you can and use herbs and spices......but why do it if we don't have a problem?.....the masses need to know there IS a problem.

I think that the reason we look at these things here is to become aware so that we can do something about it. We are not here to panic or get carried away but to calmly and openly view the situation for what it is and to take the corrective steps to address and TRANSFORM it.

I would disagree with you that our, (the western world),  "immune" systems are in good shape, I'm not sure what info has led you to this conclusion. I think it is a misleading statement...a, it's all honky dory, comment when that is not the case....

"One does not become enlightened imaging images of light but by making the darkness conscious", my fav quote and I feel it is relevant in this post.....

Good Greetings Jez:

We are far more healthy than our great great grandmothers and fathers were.  I know this sounds incredible but the life expetency for people has greatly improved since the early 20th Century when a good percentage of people died in infancy or childhood from water polluted from fecal matter and pollutants and people died of TB, pneumonia, the flu, common colds, and parasitic diseases.

I see people as being more healthy now than in my great great great grandmother's generation.

I do not see the world as coming to an end.  I simply see it becoming more fully of light.  This latest attempt to scare us off track is simply that a scare.  Far more people die from car accidents and domestic violence than from the swine flu.   And what of Malaria?  How about that epidemic?  We hear nothing of it because it is based in 3rd world and 2nd world countries and endemic in tropical regions of 1st world countries... So is there mass panic about Malaria?  Where is the CDC on this one?  This is a real epidemic that is killing thousands and thousands of children and adults daily in Africa and Asia and causing life long disability in others... No press.... what no hype?  I think not because it is not polically feasible to scare the pants off of people about malaria... but the flu now there is a collective consciousness hologram that scares the pants off many many people making them feel powerless in the face of an unseeable bug that will kill them if they do submit to taking tamiflu and getting a swine flu vaccination...

Whether this is some psyops thing or not, it does bring attention to something smoldering and will contribute to some long-term consequences possibly much worse than this.

Firstly, animal welfare is the biggest issue.  These huge containment lots, feeding pigs corn, and the transportation of animals to far-flung markets has left the animals (includes chickens, turkeys, cattle) in an immune incompetent state, stressed and exposed to so many other similiarly housed animals before slaughter.  What is fulminating under-the-radar is the new "organic industrial complex", the new market but the same old way of treating the animals.  These tightly packed, dirty and high-stress facilities are now not using antibiotics, hormones and other feed additives in order to meet organic certified requirements leaving these animals to succumb to a number of diseases.

Agribusiness needs an overhaul and not just by eliminating the chemicals. Pigs do well foraging and pasturing near or behind cows. The sows need bigger areas to farrow so they don't smash the runt piglets that are usually cast out to die. I could go on to other animals, instead I wish that anyone who wants to be informed about their food should read Michael Pollan's   "Omnivore's Dilemma".  It is a fun and engaging read and outlines a positive future for agribusiness, maybe.

This is an important issue even for me, a vegetarian.

Well said fellow vegetarian!!!

Hey Fairy,

Yeah I hear you....I had a relative way back that died from a pimple!...it got infected.....but....

When you say people "used" to die from flu, TB etc......do you include all the homeless across America,do you realize that there are more homeless in America than there are Australians in the world!...I'm quoting figures I read, I assume they are accurate.......

As I understand it the way your medical system works plenty of people still die of flu and things they don't need to...do all these people get recorded in the figures?......and again I say, depression!, depression, depression......the biggest disease of the western world.......now people die slow painful deaths, take their own lives.......I do think life was better and healthier 100 years ago, maybe it was shorter but 35 years of a good life beats 60 of crap in my book......

Quality not quantity.........

Thanks Tricia, I agree that the way we are treating and growing animals is soooooo bad......it is going to bite us badly if we do not change our practices....spread the info and hopefully we will change....

Much love,

Jez

Jez:

I was speaking in terms of epic proprotions of children and adults dying... Like whole neighborhoods and whole towns.  I am aware that TB is an issue still... but it is not infecting 8 out of 10 people anymore.

My great great grandmother was one of 12 children.  After the TB, Cholera, and scarlet fever she was one of 4 surviving children.  So when I say the standerd of living has risen for a large percentage of the population I mean that most children in most families make it to adulthood.  I am relieved to say I do not personally know any families that have lost 3/4 of their children and a parent personally.  I know of a friend of a friend of a friend that lost her whole family to a car accident but to an epidemic disease?  No not so.   I know of a friend of a friend of a friend who had a sister who was infected with HIV and died 20 years later.  I knew a kid in High School who died of an epiletic seizure by suffocating on his pillow...  I read of people dying in Africa and Asia of Malaria.  I feel great great compassion and wish to help by cultivating Light and Love in my inner being which translates to more light and love in the World.  I pray daily for the children and women of this world... sometimes I pray every hour and sometimes I pray without ceasing.  I do Ho'oponopono for Mexico City and Chile and Afghanastan.  I pray for children who have been vaccination injured  (my own son included).  It is through my prayer and intention and light and Love and by the Grace of my Higher Angels I live a life with a son who is recovering from his vaccination injuries. Selah! This is what I meant by my ponderings.

Hey fairy,

I hope your not taking my opinion personally........we just disagree and there is nothing wrong with that but I think it is upsetting you so I won't continue......although it is an interesting topic....

Much love

there is a good article today from the Organic Consumers Association concerning the intensely closed quarters of factory farming agribusiness practices, and the nest/breeding ground of "bugs" they have become, including the alluding to the possibility that Obama himself was recently exposed to this new strain combination of bird, pig and human....

when you get to the website, it is the article titled "Organic Bytes #171, Swine Flu Alert"
