Sounds sooooo good!

I'm so thrilled to see a movie like this in general release! I loved Evan Almighty - a really sweet story. Cool that this guy made it from Ace Ventura : Pet Detective to I AM, in one lifetime. :)
Thanks for pointing it out, Fred... Now I just have to keep an eye out for it here.
Lots of love,
Kathy
...to see this movie but have been unable to find a showing of it anywhere in my area. Hopefully it will become available on DVD very soon.

Very limited release!
This movie has been running continuously in Portland for several months - and I finally got to go see it yesterday. Even after being out for weeks - there were a good number of people there to see it. I was very moved by it - and recommend everyone see it. It is a little of the "what the bleep" and a few other similar movies. It definitely hits home the fact that we cannot continue what we are doing. It's just wrong.
Shadyac (the director) makes himself an example of change in the movie that seems reasonable - and not too hard to do. You come away with a feeling that not only should we be doing something about this situation - but that there ARE things that we can do personally, that while not big things, are certainly better than just doing nothing. And of course he has examples of people who have taken big steps and done big things as well.
Great movie!
