It's time to wise up and move forward ... Paradise or Oblivion

of the situation of the world and humanity.  Mr. Fresco must have known(and probably worked with) R. Buckminster Fuller.  They both seem have very similar ideas and how humans can be motivated.  Mr. Fuller had a book I read in the '60's titled "Utopia or Oblivion" with many of the same themes as Jacque Fresco.  They were both on the same page, it seems.  The problem, it seems to me, is , how to get people to listen or examine these ideas?  Maybe enough disasters will get people to look at something new.

The first time I ever saw a Jacque Fresco video, I thought the man was brilliant.  Now, I have mixed feelings about him.

First, I wonder how much of his efforts are spent on dreaming up and drawing architectural plans vs. doing whatever may be necessary to implement his ideas into fruition.

Second, when I was looking to join a sustainable community, I contacted his ecovillage in Ecuador.  My gosh, I never seen a more controlling and restrictive set of rules for applicants!  Also, the joiner's fee was enormously cost-prohibitive for most folks.

I question Fresco's motives and his views of "reality".

Likewise, I have doubts about Peter Joseph and the Zeitgeist movement.  My decision to leave the U.S. was largely based upon information contained in the original version of the Zeitgeist movie.  The film called the U.S. a "sinking ship" and urged people to leave.  Now, 3 - 4 years later, Peter Joseph continues to live in the U.S.  Go figure.  (Not that I regret relocating.)

Thanks Noa,

Those things make me uncomfortable as well.

I think I read somewhere that those two may have had some sort of falling out, however I got the impression that the information could not be verified.

I have always felt our monetary system and it's ill effects are damaging to people intellectually and psychologically as individuals and as a whole.
