I just sent the following massage to all my friends and family.  I want to share it with this side of my family also.

Dear friends and family,

As you may know it (or not), this gusher in the Gulf of Mexico has the potential to be extremely bad, not just for the inhabitants of the Gulf coast and Florida, but to the entire humanity, as this McClatchy May 11th article implies.  Even though it is an 'old' article, it holds true in the possible consequences of the gusher not being contained, and so far, 2 months later, it hasn't, and the prospects are still 'iffy'.

The possible consequences of this event are hard to confront.  Here's a more resent article about researchers finding oil entering the food chain.  IF that stuff is not contained, and gets on to the Gulf Stream, extremely toxic materials will be conveyed to the North Atlantic negatively affecting the food chain of a large portion of the human population, not to mention the economic devastation that would bring.  I don't mean to be alarmist, but the potential must be made known to all.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine a disease is considered a blessing because all diseases are believed to be the consequence of some dysfunction in ones way of life, and the ailment finally brings our attention to what we have been doing wrong, and only that way are we able to correct our pattern of negative behavior and be able to heal our body... and they should know, it's been successfully used for several thousands of years.

I hope and pray that this Gulf thing will be such an event and be the catalyst to bring about a similar reevaluation of our actions as humans beings.

This coming Saturday there will be a great number of people, around the world, of all religious believes (and un-believes) getting together to pray,   meditate,   wish,   hope, that this horrible catastrophe may be stopped, or, as the elders say "Heal our home" and in the process our species also be healed.
