Greetings from Summer Camp

Good greetings all and hi from Southern Oregon!

I am in the Applegate valley, Southern Oregon, for the next three weeks setting up for this year's NFNC Summer Camp.  There are six of us here right now, building the two outdoor kitchens, outdoor showers, and meeting spaces.  All this in preparation for 11+ days of personal growth and community building workshops.  Fun!

Typically we have about 100 people at camp.  This year we have fewer folks registered so there are some spaces open for folks interested in one of the most affordable and life-changing experiences on the West coast.

Dates of this year's gathering are Aug. 2-13.  For more information you can go to http://nfnc.org/sc/

Among the presenters this year is our very own Fred Burks!  I imagine Fred can attest to the wonderful magic we create each year at camp. And of course I will be happy to answer any questions if you need more information.

Much love,

Bodhi

Dear TT friends,

I very much agree with Bodhi that this is an amazing community and powerful place to grow and learn about ourselves. I've been going to this summer camp for four years now. It's called Network for a New Culture summer camp, as everyone there is committed to building a new culture for our world based on love and cooperation. The camp is only about $600 for 10 days, food and everything included. Financially, it's one of the best deals going, though you have to be willing to live in a tent in the woods for 10 days and deal with mosquitoes and the occasional wasp.

One other thing to be aware of is that many people at this camp are polyamorous and/or exploring open relationships. Some are monogamous and happily married, but I'd guess over half of the participants are exploring alternative and expanded relationships. There are kids at camp, so there is no open sexuality in public, but there are is a special temple space where people are encouraged to explore their sexuality with clear boundaries and respect for all. If you want more information about the camp, see http://www.nfnc.org or contact Bodhi or me. If it resonates for you, we'd love to see you there!

With lots of love and warm wishes,
Fred

thanks mary & fred for stopping by.

i found this great quote a few days ago, written on the chalkboard of one of the meeting places here at camp, and was inspired to share it here:

it's not the police & politicians that keep the world turning and the bodies burning.
it's our own compliance and complacency, not to mention lack of faith.
the world of our dreams exists to the exact degree that we behave as if we were already living in it.

in gratitude, joy, and love,

bodhi
