I heard of a fascinating job for a multilingual person

Hi TT World!

I recently studied with folks from this organization - www.heartofthehealer.org - and I really liked them.  Oscar Miro-Quesada heads the group, and his wife Cindy, who wrote the letter below, is also real and true.  If you or someone you know is looking for a position for a multilinguist, take a peek. . .just FYI.

Love,

Kim

Dearest community,

In alignment with our commitment to the principles of sacred relationship in all our affairs, we offer this letter to you. Because of multiple factors influencing the emergence of The Heart of the Healer Foundation (THOTH) as an international organization, we are navigating through changes that while difficult, also create opportunities for expansion. As we grow in our responsibilities as a global earth stewardship nonprofit vehicle, so does the need for specific types of expertise.

Currently, the majority of our program funding is being allocated towards the Rainforest Sanctuary Initiative (RSI) including rainforest conservation, the development of Sipapu, and assistance for the Shipibo Community. These activities, which support the overall strategic goals of the foundation, are necessarily taking place in the Amazon Rainforest of Peru.

After careful consideration of the long-term view of our strategic plan, the Board of Directors has concluded that it is indispensable for our Executive Director to have international management experience, be fluent in foreign languages (specifically Spanish), and be tuned in to the diverse cultural idiosyncrasies that go hand-in-hand with “doing business” in a developing nation. To that end, THOTH shall recruit a new Executive Director to assist us in bridging these needs and Thomas Mock will be exploring other organizations that can fully engage his wide range of skills and experience.

We are deeply grateful for Thomas’ many contributions to the strategic alignment of THOTH as well as our overall success during the past two-years. Thomas has engaged deeply with many of you and he will be missed. His heartfelt dedication to our mission, our community and our earth stewardship focus will always be recognized. We shall hold Thomas dear in our hearts and always look forward to his presence within our family.

In loving service,
THOTH Board of Directors
