Where Are The Angry People?

Dear friends,

I came here because I found a good balance in the material Fred included in the course. It offered both a look at good things that are happening and some of the nasty things going on in our world today.

But now that I've been here for some time, I don't see anyone talking about the real world and the nasty stuff we are faced with.

Should there be a private group for us?

I was reminded about this by a friend who sent me this excerpt from Lee Iacocca's book:

Remember Lee Iacocca, the man who rescued Chrysler Corporation from
it's death throes? He has a new book, and here are some excerpts.
Lee Iacocca Says:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Am I the only guy in this country who's fed up with what's happening? Where the hell is our outrage? We should be screaming bloody murder. We've got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can't even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, 'Stay the course'

Stay the course? You've got to be kidding. This is America , not the damned 'Titanic'. I'll give you a sound bite: 'Throw all the bums out!'

You might think I'm getting senile, that I've gone off my rocker, and maybe I have. But someone has to speak up. I hardly recognize this country anymore.

The most famous business leaders are not the innovators but the guys in handcuffs. While we're fiddling in Iraq , the Middle East is burning and nobody seems to know what to do. And the press is waving 'pom-poms' instead of asking hard questions. That's not the promise of the
' America ' my parents and yours traveled across the ocean for. I've had enough. How about you?

I'll go a step further. You can't call yourself a patriot if you're not outraged. This is a fight I'm ready and willing to have. The Biggest 'C' is Crisis !

Leaders are made, not born. Leadership is forged in times of crisis. It's easy to sit there with your feet up on the desk and talk theory. Or send someone else's kids off to war when you've never seen a battlefield yourself. It's another thing to lead when your world comes tumbling down.

On September 11, 2001, we needed a strong leader more than any other time in our history. We needed a steady hand to guide us out of the ashes. A Hell of a Mess. So here's where we stand. We're immersed in a bloody war with no plan for winning and no plan for leaving. We're running the biggest deficit in the history of the country. We're losing the manufacturing edge to Asia , while our once-great companies are getting slaughtered by health care costs. Gas prices are skyrocketing, and nobody in power has a coherent energy policy. Our schools are in trouble. Our borders are like sieves. The middle class is being squeezed every which way.

These are times that cry out for leadership.

But when you look around, you've got to ask:'Where have all the leaders gone?' Where are the curious, creative communicators? Where are the people of character, courage, conviction, omnipotence, and common sense? I may be a sucker for alliteration, but I think you get the point.

Name me a leader who has a better idea for homeland security than making us take off our shoes in airports and throw away our shampoo? We've spent billions of dollars building a huge new bureaucracy, and all we know how to do is react to things that have already happened.

Name me one leader who emerged from the crisis of Hurricane Katrina. Congress has yet to spend a single day evaluating the response to the hurricane, or demanding accountability for the decisions that were made in the crucial hours af ter th e storm.

Everyone's hunkering down, fingers crossed, hoping it doesn't happen again. Now, that's just crazy. Storms happen. Deal with it. Make a plan. Figure out what you're going to do the next time.

Name me an industry leader who is thinking creatively about how we can restore our competitive edge in manufacturing. Who would have believed that there could ever be a time when 'The Big Three' referred to Japanese car companies? How did this happen, and more important, what are we going to do about it?

Name me a government leader who can articulate a plan for paying down the debit, or solving the energy crisis, or managing the health care problem. The silence is deafening. But these are the crises that are eating away at our country and milking the middle class dry.

I have news for the gang in Congress. We didn't elect you to sit on your asses and do nothing and remain silent while our democracy is being hijac ked and our greatness is being replaced with mediocrity.

What is everybody so afraid of? That some bonehead on Fox News will call them a name? Give me a break!
Why don't you guys show some spine for a change?

Had Enough?
Hey, I'm not trying to be the voice of gloom and doom here. I'm trying to light a fire. I'm speaking out because I have hope I believe in America . In my lifetime I've had the privilege of living through some of America 's greatest moments. I've also experienced some of our worst crises: the 'Great Depression', 'World War II', the 'Korean War', the 'Kennedy Assassination', the 'Vietnam War', the 1970s oil crisis, and the struggles of recent years culminating with 9/11. If I've learned one thing, it's this:
'You don't get anywhere by standing on the sidelines waiting for somebody else to take action. Whether it's building a better car or building a better future for our children, we all have a role to play. That's the challenge I'm raising in this book. It's a call to 'Action' fo r people who, like me, believe in America .. It's not too late, but it's getting pretty close. So let's shake off the crap and go to work. Let's tell 'em all we've had 'enough.'

Make a 'real contribution' by sending this to everyone you know and care about......our future is at stake!

If you agree with Mr. Iacocca, pass this message on. If you don't, throw it away and hope a good fairy will come along and make everything OK.

Hi Stan,

If you look in the Forums section of the website, I think you'll find some discussion of the shadow side of our world. You can also start a forum with this topic, and I'm sure some people would be interested in joining in a discussion. Also check out the news articles section where you'll find a lot of revealing information. Thanks for caring.

With sacred love and best wishes,
Fred

Hi, Fred.

I started with online conversation over 20 years ago. One of my mentors back then described what to do when feeling overwhelmed by bunches of posts or irrelevant material and not fitting in with the crowd. She said to write your own post and ignore the rumble of other stuff that you don't feel comfortable in. So, thanks to the structure of this community and the "related" box, I'm now finding some of the other angry folks. I was particularly impressed with lightwins blog posting about Tavistock.

Stan

Berry's picture

Thanks Stan for that excerpt from Iacocca's book.  I have indeed passed it on to a lot of my friends who will also forward it.  I think that a lot of us here on the TT Portal feel as you do, and we do try to spread the truth to those we know.  Tell me, or does Iacocca tell us how we can individually do something to bring about change other than by being change ourselves.  How often I have emailed, or sent letters to the congressmen and senators to no effect. Most often with not even a recognition of my letter. When I did receive response it was usually a bland uninterested "thank you".    I spent many hours and much energy promoting Ron Paul in the Texas primary, and many people are still out there supporting him and his agenda, which seems the only sane pathway to what Iacocca urges. But all this seems to be squashed by the power media and the power elite.

Yes, there is that shadow of the feeling of helplessness lurking behind the door of courage, which I believe each person who feels the way you do, senses. All that we can do is like the firewalkers do, have faith and step into each day with focus and intention that we do all that we can with integrity.

In the love and light of our one infinite Creator,

Berry

After posting the above entry, I chewed on the idea of harboring anger for what is happing in the world today and realized this fact. Anger, fear, anxiety, hatred of what is,,,all of these emotions are self defeating and reduce/limit the effect of positive emotions like hope, love, joy, peace etc.

It is one thing to be aware of all of the entropic decline in the world/America today.  It is another thing all together to allow these conditions and continued control by TPTB to cause negative emotions to rise within and just feed the system. The whole purpose of the Transformation Team is to focus on positive loving actions and to work to resolve those self-defeating emotions of fear and anger.

I felt that I must make these comments, even though I perceive the truth in what Iacocca said.  I choose not to be angry but to be proactive whenever I am able.

Blessing of love and light,

Berry

Dear Ones,

The main thought...don't just sit there do something!!!! Is right on! But when he gets to the big three(car makers) being japanese, and America loosing it's place on top, he looses me. Capitalism and national pride got us into this. I think that the changes will come from below....and the gov't will change THEN. A new way. My 2 cents. Love,Mary

Stan, I appreciate that you posted this excerpt. I only hope the rest of us don't loose the point you are trying to make, if I understand your frustration. I think what I hear you saying is something like this: What are we doing about this mess? Where is the action? Are we simply sitting around holding nice thoughts and intentions in the hope that these will make a profound difference in our world? What else do we need to do?

Since we have a little understanding that anger and other aggressive feelings bring about more harm than good, are we not vulnerable to falling into the trap of "sitting around contemplating our own navels" (to use an out-dated phrase) rather than taking appropriate action to bring about the changes we long for? Is there a space between destructive anger and spiritual intention?

Stan, is this anything like what you had in mind when you posted Iacocca's thoughts? I feel this is an excellent topic for us to pursue a lot further. Where are -- and who are -- the people willing to take positive action to create a better world?

Loving us all,

JoyAnn

PS: I hope we won't let our impression of Lee Iocccoca and his capitalistic background pull us away from Stan's purpose in sharing this excerpt.

StanP's picture

We're all here because of or perhaps in spite of the dual nature of the material that Fred and his associates (I still don't know who actually was involved) posted the various web sites and the transformation course that attracted us. That material worked both sides. And now that I've begun this discussion I've started to discover more of the material that I was seeking.

We all need to know that there are like minded people out there. Mr. Iacocca was reacting to the lack of reaction in the public at large to the decline of our "civilization." I for one don't care much that America isn't going to be the center of the world. What gets me is that we're letting criminals and hypocrites run things.

We here in this little world of the TT know (or should) how the image of what the world is about has been manipulated to make it appear that no one is alarmed. And while, yes, I agree that just being angry isn't the answer, we do need a plan that goes beyond thinking good thoughts. I'm sure that Gandhi and Martin Luther King didn't achieve what they did without having plans. I'm just not well informed enough to know what they were. And I'm hoping to have an opportunity to work with you to understand how we can, together, make an impact.

So, I agree with Berry, let's choose to be proactive, not angry. But it is necessary to start down that path by recognizing the anger that rightly should arise from the insults we have been given and start channeling the anger into actions.

maryc's picture

The point I wanted to make was that things need to change from the ground up.

I'm sure Lee didn't save his company by doing things the same way.He had to run the busuness in different way than it had been run before. One politician, writing wrongs, gets shot, found in bed with someone, anthrax in the mail, or some other sad end. The people need to come up with a better way! I agree that anger is in this somewhere....just not a place to stay.I really appriciate the way that conversations here at the portal, lead to dialogs, that I think will help us think about how we can make these changes. Everything starts with a thought! Love,Mary

Greetings StanP,

And welcome to the TT

The last paragraphs of Ioccoca piece is very clear.

Many of us are doing all we can to awaken those who have bought into this madness...but it is an uphill battle....

the press will stigmatize you if you deviate from the script...Example...Dr Ron Paul for President....1/3 more popular than any other candidate..in the internet circle...but never mentioned in M S M.....

Example...Cheney's Oil producers/refiners secret meeting his first month in office...then the price of oil rising $1 per month per barrel (on average) for their entire tenure in office...oil men in the white house...couldn't control the price of oil ??? On the contrary, they controlled it quite effectively....

Example...World Trade Center Demolitions....quite clear to anyone with a grade school knowledge of physics/chemistry..and then never mentioned it again after the first day....as well as other anomolies of that day(never investigated by DOJ !!)

Example...call to war...with all govt. statements during the runup to war found to be LIES !!!

Example...Patriot Act...Military Commissions Act...etc., all attacking Americans' freedom and civil rights..all the while opening our borders...destroying our currency...infrastructure....way of life

Example...favoring foriegn nations by giving  borrowed taxpayer money...to Israel..Pakistan...etc., while our own citizens are going hungry on American streets...and the massive increase of elderly homeless in USA is attrocious!

Example...printing massive amounts of dollars...weakening existing supplies...while removing the M3 monitoring number from public view...greatest financial double cross since the Federal Reserve...which ain't federal...and has NO reserves !!

Example...treason committed by Executive branch when they ratted out Valerie Plame Wilson...(no arrests made)

NOW....after half of Americans have been stupified by overdoses of fluoride in our water supplies(Stalin, Hitler, cattle ranchers have been using it for years)....and media bombardment of propaganda/hate rather than news....chemical trails in our skies poisoning the lower life forms  as well as those humans with respiratoy problems...and the pharma poisons sold as 'preventive medicine'...(much like preventive wars !!)

WE ARE IN A WORLD OF SHIT....and nobody seems to care !!!

Well, almost nobody !  You seem to care Stan,...Lee I seems to care....Alex Jones...George Noory...Rense...Rivera...Ruppert..Rayellan..   their are those who are trying to enlighten us...despite  criticizms...attacks...

SO....keep on keeping on....don't quit....and remember as one of our great  partners here at TT once said

THEY CAN'T WALK ALL OVER YOU...IF YOU AIN'T LYING DOWN !!!!!

Blessings

The Powers That Be (TPTB) have, over the past few generations, effectively rendered most of the population docile and stupid.  Fluoridate the water supply!  Not only does John Q. Public dispose of that highly toxic waste down the drain, but what remains in his body will poison his brain and bones- bit by tiny bit- maybe even bring on Alzheimer's!  Feed him nutritionally empty GMO crops grown in depleted soil that has been pumped up with chemical fertilizers, and his body grows obese and sluggish while it's still undernourished.  Keep him consuming over-the-counter and prescription medications for every ailment, large and small, and it's a wonder he can think beyond his little world.  Distract his attention from real issues by focusing on the next celebrity drama in the news media; feed him empty promises and flat-out lies, and dismiss any attempts at learning the truth by marginalizing him as a "conspiracy nut."  I could go on, but you get the picture.
I was angry- years ago.  But I realized that the far-reaching efforts of TPTB had transformed the unwitting masses into sheeple, molded from birth to be dependent and distracted, and to expect more from them was unrealistic.  A few of us made it outside of the box.  More aware than our bretheren, we hope they will wake up, too!  Some of them do- eventually- and we celebrate each awakening.  Anger is stage one of the realization that TPTB have not been acting in the best interest of the people.  It serves to motivate you out of your comfort zone.  Eventually, you get past the anger and find ways to not participate in the dumbing-down of the masses.  Love replaces rage, compassion replaces disgust, and hope replaces despair as others see the light and want to be part of the solution, too.  In the meantime, we eat organically grown foods (some grown in our own gardens!), use alternative therapies for our illnesses, find non-fluoridated water to drink, make orgone to disrupt the mind-altering microwaves emitted from cell phone towers, and scour the internet for information that goes well beyond the fluff in our newspapers and on television.  We seek to evolve spiritually, not by going through the motions of religion, but by seeking out the nuggets of universal truth that exist in all religions and then going beyond.  And we find others like us to share with.  Like here.
Lee Iaccoca is angry, but it is misplaced anger.  He wants "We the People" to rise up in indignation and kick out the incumbents in Washington.  But "We the People" have been rendered ineffectual, and the incumbents are puppets of TPTB.  Maybe he should look at the person sitting next to him at the next posh "Captains of Industry" dinner party.  Just a thought...
Love, Deb

Bolivia, you have written a beautifully clear analysis of the place for anger as we seek ways to transform this world we tend to take for grantred. Yes, I agree that anger has it's place, as a motivator, as one of the steps THROUGH the maze of become consciously aware of the tasks we have before us. I feel strongly that anger must be part of the solution, if nothing more than to raise passion to generate the energy to take action. Of course it is equally important to move on through this anger with respect for what it is and not become trapped in its self-destructive energies.

Thank you for the perspective you offer,

I'm so glad you understand me!  It is one of the reasons why I joined this group (and no others!)- for here I can write what I know and feel from my heart, and there will be wonderful people like you who not only get what I'm saying, but appreciate my point of view.  (And we all know, don't we, that everything is about point of view!)  I'm humbled by your kindness, and encouraged to chime in with my two cents on this and other issues brought up here.  I'm sure if we sat with each other over a pot of tea, we could chat for hours- solving all the problems of the world- like old friends.  Thanks for that warm, loving feeling- I cherish it.

Just a funny thought-- If I were to choose to follow your advice and focus entirely on my personal path, then it might be true that you had influenced me.  And noting that you'd influenced me, I might begin to wonder if perhaps I was also capable of influencing others and therefore, might seek to improve the way others walk on the earth through persuassion, at least, and perhaps by reminding people to live up to their committments, such as obeying laws and such.

No one is an island unto him or herself.  We all influence each other in ways both subtle and profound.

What if others seek to prevent me from altering my own reality?  For example, architect Michael Reynolds, the inventor of EarthShip homes, finds that local building inspectors are becoming increasingly restrictive and it has become impossible to continue building Earthships in the neighborhood he started near Taos, NM.  Thus, he started a lobbying effort in an attempt to change the laws that were being used to oppress him.

I think that many people are prevented from naturally altering their own reality.  In South America, people are electing new governments that look after people more and give people more freedom to own land and build homes for their families.  Here in America, the rich are stealing our homes through foreclosures and then stealing from us again through taxes to repay the companies that made bad loans.

If we truly wish to be able to alter our own realities and live well under these circumstances we will have to organize and seek sufficient political power to make public policy changes.

ChrisBowers's picture

Hey Stan!

So glad you jumped in with this subject. I remember feeling so alone, like there was nobody that wanted to hear it, or they simply thought I was over the top or nuts or whatever. In any case, I was left to feel quite alone with no one to discuss such matters with. I did all my own research and compiled a very respectable library of info in books, DVD's and on the computer by making PDF's of any and all web pages I wanted copies of.

I then came across wanttoknow.com from a friend of mine who had seen it somewhere and wanted me to forward to another friend - I took advantage of the opportunity and our other friend did not - lucky me! Since discussing these ongoing subjects at length many times with many others here and there, I now find myself in the amusingly ironic position of strategically arguing against spending an unbalanced amount of time and energy doing so. The momentum and synchronicity is flowing so freely right now that one need do little more than open one's eyes and get inundated with info concerning past and ongoing schemes that have defined so much of human history up to now, but it may be time for us to become even more saavy and shrewd by learning the power of not perpetuating the ongoing myth of dark power by continuing to worship it through our behavior of following it and feeding it with our hate and disgust and anger.

The perfect chess move may just be to focus on becoming the very thing that we wish these despotic dark secretive service-to-self creeps would become. Are we really waiting for them to change or be taken down before we decide to put into practice the very things that will really change the world, one enlightened human at a time???

It is now my personal understanding that I perpetuate the illusion of the "power"of the dark "myth" when I focus on "it" instead of the more constant and eternal truths that will still need to be taught and understood the same way 10,000 years from now when nobody even remembers who Bush/Cheney were, or any of the myriad others that we might be angry with right now. I now believe that the best chance I have of exposing "them" is by continuing to perpetuate/affirm the Love and Light that will ultimately be the real catalyst for real harmonious change for the better, as it is the nature of Love/Light to be so, and will make it very difficult for any despotic behavior to rise up again because one would look/feel like such a grand fool/tool in the limelight for attempting such selfish behavior if enough of us change before waiting for them to do so first.

I will always continue to remain aware and keep up with ongoing "dark secrets", but this arena is no longer my primary concern. I have the process here with so many on the TT portal to thank for that, as well as everything I have learned from the Law of One material we have been deep into lately (several of us anyway).

There will always be a place for these ongoing discussions based on transient data - the "groups" category would be an excellent place to set up shop and continue rolling out the related issues.... As for me (and this is just me), I have had my fill, although I am in the loop constantly to receive up to date transient data. My present focus, especially during the times we are moving into, is to work on remaining balanced and consciously safe within the eye of the hurricane. It is, after all is said and done, where we all really are! All that is going on on this 3rd density planet is neither right, nor wrong, good, nor bad, but simply catalyst for experiential knowledge and for evolving. To spend any time judging any of it is to become unnecessarily entrenched/grounded in and by the illusion. This is the heart and soul of suffering, another illusion.

and just so you know that I do keep up, let me share something with you that I'll bet even you are unaware of, and then realize my present position is in very conscious light of many dark things I know about, but choose to conquer in a way I was not utilizing for the past 8 years hating/despising all the usual suspects (see attached PDF and be blown away by so much the shadow world government and black ops are not telling you)

It is possible to be very aware of all that is going on while remaining balanced right there from and in the eye of the hurricane! It is all a matter of free will perspective once you truly understand how safe you really are! You have friends you've never dreamed of in numbers approaching infinity. Begin to align yourself with this understanding that is aligned with reality. Dear Stan,

I used too to be angry to the American people (I am a French Canadian), My anger was mostly a big disapointment regarding what the US has becomed. I was losing my illusions concerning your country which I thougth was the best in the world.

Acknowledging the truth is difficult but is absolutely necessary for the transformation.

The present financial system is cancerous and cannot be saved with 700 billions$. This system is doomed to fall so to start something better for the earth and for the survival of humans.

The very recent financial deterioration of the US shows that lots of people are now awakening to new values very fast. The reactions are positives and I  believe in America to bring the change to the world.

My country is presently in election and there is a risk that the majority be comforted with conservative values but it could not be sustained for long with the new world.

ChrisBowers's picture
From the Producer of  THE MONEY MASTERS
October 1, 2008
Urgent Letter re the $700 Billion Bank Bailout

Dear Fellow American Citizen:

The
ongoing, severe economic turmoil in our nation - destined to get worse
if the right remedy is not enacted - was predicted in our video The Money Masters as the inevitable result of our fractional reserve banking system.

Our banking system, established by the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, works essentially like a spring.  When the Central Bank, the
Federal Reserve, wishes to create new money, it simply does so.  There
are no reserves to our money.  The Fed then spends this money, usually
to buy Treasury Bonds from private owners of the bonds (more recently
to bailout or help huge banks buyout failing banks), which the sellers
had purchased from the Treasury Department.  These bonds (and Treasury
bills, TIPS and notes) were initially sold to the public to fund
government deficits. In our metaphor the money created by the Fed is
the spring.  The spring gets stretched in the following manner.

Banks,
privately-owned, are permitted to loan out 90% of this new Fed-created
money once it is deposited by the sellers of the bonds.  That would not
be a problem, except for the fact that the borrowers almost always
redeposit the money (or the people they pay with their loan proceeds
do).  Once re-deposited, the banks can lend it out again.  This
re-loan, redeposit, re-loan, redeposit, etc. scheme, authorized by the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, allows banks each time to retain just 10% of the re-deposited
loan proceeds as a reserve, ultimately allowing banks to lend out 9
times the original amount deposited, and to charge interest on it as
many times as it was loaned.  So instead of an interest rate of, for
example, 6%, the banks may be collectively receiving a total of 54%
interest per year (6% x 9; usually it is somewhat less due to the lack
of qualified borrowers).  Now you know, if have not already seen The Money Masters, why banks grow and prosper much more than other businesses, that is, until they have stretched the spring to the maximum.

Once
the economy is flooded with the bank-created money 9 times in excess of
the money originally created by the Fed, an expansion that increases
the money supply, which reduces the purchasing power of
already-existing money (including wages and savings), interest rates
begin to drop (as there is more money to lend) and prices rise
(inflation).  The dollar begins to fall relative to the money of other
countries not in this same stage of money expansion.  Money begins to
flow out of US Treasury bonds (due to lower interest rates and the
lessening purchasing power of the dollar due to inflation).  Thus ends
the expansionary or "boom" part of this artificial "business cycle."
To combat rising inflation and the falling dollar, the Fed begins
raising interest rates.

Then the spring of the economy - the
money supply - having been stretched to the maximum, begins its
contraction, usually initiated by rising interest rates reaching a
point that begins to inhibit borrowing and also inflation.  The
economic "bust" part of the cycle begins. Loans dwindle as interest
rates rise and credit terms tighten.  Various segments of the economy,
accustomed to easy credit, begin to contract due to higher interest
rates; loans become harder to get.  Home prices fall, businesses begin
to fail, bankruptcy's increase.  This "bust" part of the cycle
continues, and worsens, until inflation is "tamed," prices stabilize,
and the dollar rises relative to other currencies.  Eventually, the
higher interest rates begin to attract foreign money, and the Treasury
then is able to borrow what it needs at lower and lower interest
rates.  Interest rates fall.  The artificial cycle then begins anew.

This
boom-bust economic cycle is totally unnecessary and is the fundamental
cause of the inherent instability in our economy.  It is due to
too-rapid increases in the money supply due to deficit spending and
then the multiplier effect of fractional reserve banking (described
above) and to lenders greedy to take advantage of such a system that
rewards lending with more and more interest revenue; followed by a
too-rapid contraction of the money supply (such as we are experiencing
now), necessary to combat the inflationary effects of the former phase,
both the direct result of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.
We urgently need to reform this system that rewards greed and results
in ever-increasing swings from boom-to-bust - destroying ordinary
businesses and farms in the process.  We need to repeal or
fundamentally reform the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, and to replace it with a system that eliminates the ability of private banks to "create" and multiply money as loans.

The
major banks of this country - the ones the government is lending your
money to, and from which the Bailout Bill proposes to buy their bad
assets (wouldn't you too like the opportunity to sell off your bad
investments to the government!), are busily swallowing up the banks in
trouble in this latest bust - one deeper because of more rapid prior
monetary expansion and inflation.  As after all prior bust cycles, they
will emerge larger and more powerful, and fewer.  Wealth will be even
more concentrated under their control, which they will use in the next
bust to further this process, until eventually no one will own anything
but the ability to borrow - to go deeper into debt to banks than their
neighbors. Not savings, but credit scores will determine the average
American's ability to engage in economic activity (such as buying a
home or car).  No one will dare breathe a word against such power,
concentrated in very few hands, and our republic will end with a
whimper.

Our Congress struggles with ignorance of the
complex, bank-created system enacted in 1913.  It struggles with the
money the bank PACs flood into the political system to defeat their
critics and elect their shills. It struggles with mass media owned or
controlled by the banks, which seek to stir up panic in the populace,
to stampede Congress into bank-developed "solutions" that only make the
fundamental problems worse and increase their wealth.  Based on
history, the banks will not fail to see-saw the economy and the markets
to match their strategies for fooling the public, and putting pressure
on the Congress to do their will.  But we must resist.  We must hold
out for genuine reform - for repeal or fundamental reform of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.

Here is a hyperlink to one such reform proposal, the Monetary Reform Act. It
is not the only possible reform, but it is one developed, in its
essentials, over many years by numerous monetary reformers including
the late Nobel Laureate, Dr. Milton Friedman.  Any genuine reform of
our monetary system must include two basic elements: fractional reserve
lending (such as described above) must be prohibited, and private banks
must be forbidden from creating money, whether as loans or otherwise.  The Monetary Reform Act does both.  It also incorporates means of doing this that include
paying off the huge national debt, and stabilizing the economy.

We have not previously written the viewers of The Money Masters. We judged the time was not ripe.  But increasingly we are being asked - urgently - what can we do, and when, to be effective. Now it is clearly urgent that we flood Congress with our calls, emails and
letters, to oppose the proposed taxpayer-funded Bailout of the banks.
Rather, we support genuine reform, that will not result in an even
greater concentration of economic power in fewer and fewer hands.  We
support the Monetary Reform Act, or any such Act that repeals or reforms the Federal Reserve Act so as to prohibit fractional reserve banking and money creation (as
loans or otherwise) by private banks.  We oppose the Bailout of the
banks.  We want genuine, fundamental reform, now!

Very truly yours,

The Two Step Plan to National Economic Reform and Recovery
1. Directs the Treasury Department to issue U.S. Notes (exactly like Lincoln's Greenbacks) to pay off the National debt.

2.
Increases the reserve ratio private banks are required to maintain from
10% to 100%, thereby terminating their ability to create money, while
simultaneously absorbing the funds created to retire the national debt.

These
two relatively simple steps, which Congress has the power to enact,
would extinguish the national debt, without inflation or deflation, and
end the unjust practice of private banks creating money as loans (i.e.,
fractional reserve banking). Paying off the national debt would wipe
out the $400+ billion annual interest payments and thereby balance the
budget. This Act would stabilize the economy and end the boom-bust
economic cycles caused by fractional reserve banking.  For the full
text of the Act click here to read the MONETARY REFORM ACT.

Hi,

Everyone is getting into the act. Now this group has put up the best decorated pig I've seen yet.

In posting this here, I can't make the pig show up... sorry bout that.

I'm sending this out because of the pig... but you can read the rest of it if you'd like.

I feel that the bailout needs to fail and fail and fail. It's time to get the people mad (or angry, if you prefer.) This country won't be worth much till the (expletive deleted) who voted for Bush twice loose their jobs and their homes.

In the mean time, here's what Michael Moore has to say:

The Rich Are Staging a Coup This Morning

And here is another tirade worth reading from Senator Bernie Sanders:

Wednesday: Call Again to Stop Paulson's Plunder

 (1) Call your Senators and Representative at 800-473-6711 or 800-828-0498 or 202-224-3121 and say "Filibuster the Bailout!"

(2) Find or Organize a "No Bailout" protest near you:

<http://bailoutmainstreet.com />http://bailoutmainstreet.com/

On Monday, we won an incredible victory when the House defeated Paulson's Plunder by 228-205, despite overwhelming pressure on the House from the White House, Wall Street, and the Corporate Media.

The only reason we won was because hundreds of thousands of grassroots activists like you called and emailed Congress. Every Member reported their constituents said "No Bailout" by 100:1 or more.

So how did Congressional leaders respond to their defeat? They made the bill worse by adding $100 billion in tax breaks favoring the rich. They didn't just put lipstick on the pig, they added pearls!

(1) The Senate will vote at 9 pm ET today, so call your two Senators first and say "Filibuster the Bailout!" We need only one populist Senator like Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Russ Feingold (D-WI), Ron Wyden (D-OR), Jon Tester (D-MT), or Jim Webb (D-VA). Use the Capitol switchboard at 800-473-6711 or 800-828-0498 or 202-224-3121 or dial direct using the instant phone lookup on the right side of <http://usalone.com>http://usalone.com

But call your Representative too because (s)he will have to vote again on Friday. Our chances of defeating the bailout are much better in the House because everyone is up for re-election on November 4, compared to only 1/3 of the Senate. Also most Senators are millionaires who care about Wall Street, not Main Street. Finally the House already defeated the bill once, so a second defeat is easier.

Before you call your House Representative, check how (s)he voted on Monday:

If (s)he voted NO, say "Thank you for helping stop the Bailout on Monday. Don't betray us now by voting YES on Friday, or I will vote NO against you on Election Day."

If (s)he voted YES, say "I'm outraged that you supported the Bailout on Monday, and I will remember on Election Day. If you want my vote on Election Day, you must vote NO on Friday."

(2) We must let our Representatives and Senators know that we're not just angry, we're also organizing. Please join or organize a street protest against the bailout:

Rep. DeFazio and Progressive Democrats Offer "No Bailout" Alternative

On Tuesday, Rep. Pete DeFazio (D-OR) and other members of the Progressive Caucus introduced the "No Bailouts Plan" as an alternative to Paulson's Plunder.

DeFazio's bill will not be voted on before the second House bailout vote on Friday, but it could get a vote if the bailout fails again, so we want as many co-sponsors as possible.

Republicans Blame OBAMA for Wall Street Meltdown - Help Us Fight Back!

Even before the House voted on Monday, the Republican National Committee broadcast an outrageous TV ad blaming Barack Obama for the Wall Street Meltdown:
