The Beautiful Truth

I've seen other films on the Gearson Therapy before but this one ties together many threads with other health and FDA corruption stories. Also, even if you aren't interested in the topic just fast forward to about 1:24 for a fantastic summery of what life's all about.

A life lived that matters is not a circumstance but a choice.  Definitely a 'beautiful truth'.  Thanks Wendy

Thanks, Wendy! That is an outstanding video. I am so grateful to you for sharing it.

I am currently working with an Ayurvedic specialist to change my diet and lifestyle to heal some health problems. The results are already excellent, and I've barely started. It's amazing how quickly the body recovers when you stop eating what you shouldn't and start eating what you should. Seems so obvious, but we want to have our junk and eat it too. At some point it catches up with you, and you have to decide to change or die.

Oh, and yes, the message at 1:25 to the end puts all of life (and death) into perspective. We stand on the shoulders of those who came before us, but we have to make sure their contributions, like Dr. Gerson's, are carried forward and not lost.

I am doing the exact same thing! Changing diet to correct spome health issues. I was recommended a book called Dr. Gundersons Diet Evolution - and I highly recommend it for unraveling some of the mystery behind what certain foods are telling your genes. Apparently - we have a mechanism - a program if you will - that is basically designed to kill the organism if it appears that they are compromosing resources from the rest of the tribe (like overeating etc). When these killer genes get activated - they create illness - like clogged arteries, arthritis etc. So knowing which foods are triggering this program, and which ones create the opposite, is key - and you would be surprised how it all works out. Some of the things we consider "healthy" are off the list!

I am starting the process now - so we'll see where it goes. I would not doubt that it parallels the ayurvedic diet pretty closely.

Keep us posted!

I wasn't familiar with Dr. Gundry's diet, but I'll share my experience.  I've eaten according to my blood type and done the pH diet, among others.  I've also heard marvelous things about the raw food diet, though I haven't tried it.

Personally, I've had the most meaningful results with the Candida Diet.  I loss all excess fat and never felt better.  (I undid all the good I did when I started sharing meals with my landlord.  I'm going back on the Candida diet very soon.)  You can get all the details on how to do it here:  http://www.thecandidadiet.com/

After visiting Dr. Gundry's website, I see that his basic food guide is similar to the Candida Diet -- low-sugar fruits and veggies plus protein.  He does advocate dairy products, however, which you won't find on the Candida Diet.  Note: the Candida Diet is strict in the beginning, but it allows you to reintroduce some foods after your initial cleanse.

Since we're all different, there's no perfect diet for everyone.  Listen to your body; it knows best.

I just eat what I my body requests--- it is important to be able to discern when an imposter such as a yeast or a virus is asking to be fed... sugar cravings is a give away for me.  I usually add lots of probotics to my diet which taste sweet to me (plain yougurt, kombucha tea, naturally fermented and unpasturized foods such as saurkraut, pckled plum, etc).  Seems to work great for me.

Interesting that this video requires a login to Youtube and verification of age to view.  Any guesses as to why?
