Cuba: Agricultural Model

Found a really interesting article on Cuba in The Globalist. http://www.theglobalist.com/storyid.aspx?StoryId=6782 This is the kind of discussion we need to be having in this country. Everything I'm reading suggests stocking up on staples. Even the Wall Street Journal has published an article recommending people hoard food. http://rense.com/general81/pantry.htm

Being Practical

I found this article at Der Spiegel online. Below are just the opening paragraphs, along with the link to the full text. While we rhapsodize about harmonics and convergences and other stuff that I frankly do not understand (silly unevolved human that I am), here is what is spreading across the world. Where are we when the shit hits the fan?

Divided emotions/feelings

I discovered today that I have two sets of reactions to information which I have been been recieving for some time now. The one set of inputs is regarding "Globalization", One World Order, and the demise of National Identity. This appears to be a very viable possibility in the not too distant future. Europe has already for a number of years now become the European Union.

Interesting Book Review...Most Exciting Time

Dear Friends,

Haven't read the book, but I came across this article about it.  I admire the author's honest conclusions, especially her statement that we live in the most exciting time in history.  Surely it is turning into one of the most difficult times.  Though this article doesn't highlight it, the author seems to have a grasp of the fact that problems are also opportunities.

Editorial: The End Of The World As We Know It

Found this editorial at the Arizona Republic. It pretty closely reflects my views of what's happening in the 3D world. Don't forget to stock up on water purification tablets.

Religion

Fred posted an announcement of new features or additions to the TC, and a couple of us took the opp'ty to suggest other ways in which the scope of the course might be broadened...but I decided to bring this conversation to a new forum, mainly because to write a chapter on religion at all would be full of pitfalls, maybe even impossible to bring off.

Fear

A popular bumper sticker says NO FEAR. I don't know for sure what it means. I see it all over. Maybe it's a line of clothing or a record label or something. I laud the sentiment and the determination it expresses. But we all have fears, and how we deal with them shows the world what we're made of.
